IFRS-tilinpäätösraportoinnin erot Suomen ja Venäjän välillä
2017
Tutkimuksessa selvitetään, eroavatko suomalaisten ja venäläisten pörssilistattujen yhtiöiden IFRS-tilinpäätökset toisistaan. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on tunnistaa eroja ja yhtäläisyyksiä suomalaisessa ja venäläisessä IFRS-tilinpäätösraportoinnissa näkyvien valintojen (eng. overt options) suhteen. Tutkimuksen aineisto muodostuu kahdenkymmenen Helsingin ja Moskovan pörssiin listattujen blue chip -yhtiöiden IFRS-standardien mukaan laadituista tilikauden 2016 tilinpäätöksistä. Tutkimus on luonteeltaan kvantitatiivinen vertaileva tutkimus ja aineistoa analysoidaan ristiintaulukossa khiin neliö -riippumattomuustestillä. Tutkimustuloksista ilmenee, etteivät suomalaiset ja venäläiset IFRS-tilinpää…
QSPR Modeling of Hydrocarbon Dipole Moments by Means of Correlation Weighting of Local Graph Invariants
2003
Hydrocarbon dipole moments are calculated by means of correlation weighting of local graph invariants within the context of QSPR theory. This sort of flexible topological descriptor is used for several parameters: local invariants of k th vertex in the labeled hydrogen filled graph extended connectivity of zero-, first- and second-orders, number of paths of length 2 at k th vertex and valence shell of the k th vertex. The models predict hydrocarbon dipole moments in a quite sensible way. The best model is that one based upon numbers of path length 2 correlation weighting.
Vibration control of vehicle engine-body systems with time delay: an LMI approach
2013
The objective of this chapter is to study the problem of vibration control analysis and synthesis in a vehicle engine-body vibration structure. It is assumed that the actuator is subject to a time-varying delay for control of bounce and pitch vibrations. Based on a Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and using some free weighting matrices, delay-dependent sufficient conditions for designing desired state- and output-feedback controllers are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The state- and output-feedback controllers, which guarantee asymptotic stability with a prescribed γ-level L2-gain (or H∞ performance), are then developed directly instead of coupling the second-order model…
Feedback vibration control of a base-isolated building with delayed measurements using h<inf>∞</inf> techniques
2010
In this paper we address the problem of vibration reduction of buildings with delayed measurements, where the delays are time-varying and bounded. We focus on a convex optimization approach to the problem of state-feedback H ∞ control design. An appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and some free weighting matrices are used to establish some delay-range-dependent sufficient conditions for the design of desired controllers in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The controller, which guarantees asymptotic stability and an H ∞ performance, simultaneously, for the closed-loop system of the structure, is then developed. The performance of the controller is evaluated through the simu…

Processing natural scenes requires the visual system to integrate local features into global object descriptions. To achieve coherent representations, the human brain uses statistical dependencies to guide weighting of local feature conjunctions. Pairwise interactions among feature detectors in early visual areas may form the early substrate of these local feature bindings. To investigate local interaction structures in visual cortex, we combined psychophysical experiments with computational modeling and natural scene analysis. We first measured contrast thresholds for 2x2 grating patch arrangements (plaids), which differed in spatial frequency composition (low, high or mixed), number of gr…
Analysis of the depth of field of integral imaging displays based on wave optics.
2013
In this paper, we analyze the depth of field (DOF) of integral imaging displays based on wave optics. With considering the diffraction effect, we analyze the intensity distribution of light with multiple micro-lenses and derive a DOF calculation formula for integral imaging display system. We study the variations of DOF values with different system parameters. Experimental results are provided to verify the accuracy of the theoretical analysis. The analyses and experimental results presented in this paper could be beneficial for better understanding and designing of integral imaging displays.
Characterization of the human visual system threshold performance by a weighting function in the Gabor domain
1997
Abstract As evidenced by many physiological and psychophysical reports, the receptive fields of the first-stage set of mechanisms of the visual process fit to two-dimensional (2D) compactly supported harmonic functions. The application of this set of band-pass filter functions to the input signal implies that the visual system carries out some kind of conjoint space/spatial frequency transform. Assuming that a conjoint transform is carried out, we present in this paper a new characterization of the visual system performance by means of a weighting function in the conjoint domain. We have called this weighting function (in the particular case of the Gabor transform) the Gabor stimuli Sensiti…
