Nucleon structure observables with PANDA
2017
The PANDA detector will be built as a part of the future FAIR facility in Darmstadt. The availability of an antiproton beam with beam momenta up to 15 GeV/c will make possible a broad nuclear physics program. Topics like hadron spectroscopy in the charmonium mass region, the property of hadrons inside nuclear matter, hypernuclear physics, or nucleon properties using electromagnetic processes are part of the physics program of PANDA. The main part of this contribution concentrates on the feasibility of measurement of nucleon structure observables, such as electromagnetic form factors or transition distribution amplitudes, via experiments using electromagnetic processes in PANDA.
Quark-model study of the hadron structure and the hadron-hadron interaction
2011
Recent results of hadron spectroscopy and hadron-hadron interaction within a quark model framework are reviewed. Higher order Fock space components are considered based on new experimental data on low-energy hadron phenomenology. The purpose of this study is to obtain a coherent description of the low-energy hadron phenomenology to constrain QCD phenomenological models and try to learn about low-energy realizations of the theory.
Identifying spin and parity of charmonia in flight with lattice QCD
2019
The spectrum of charmonium resonances contains a number of unanticipated states along with several conventional quark-model excitations. The hadrons of different quantum numbers $J^P$ appear in a fairly narrow energy band, where $J^P$ refers to the spin-parity of a hadron at rest. This poses a challenge for Lattice QCD studies of (coupled-channel) meson-meson scattering aimed at the determination of scattering amplitudes and resonance pole positions. A wealth of information for this purpose can be obtained from the lattice spectra in frames with nonzero total momentum. These are particularly dense since hadrons with different $J^P$ contribute to any given lattice irreducible representation.…

Prediction of hidden charm strange molecular baryon states with heavy quark spin symmetry
2019
We have studied the meson-baryon $S-$wave interaction, using coupled channels, in the isoscalar hidden-charm strange sector and $J^P = 1/2^-,3/2^-$ and $5/2^-$. We impose constraints of heavy quark spin symmetry in the interaction and obtain the non vanishing matrix elements from an extension of the local hidden gauge approach to the charm sector. The ultraviolet divergences are renormalized using the same meson-baryon-loops regulator previously employed in the non-strange hidden charm sector, where a good reproduction of the properties of the newly discovered pentaquark states is obtained. We obtain five states of $1/2^-$, four of $3/2^-$ and one of $5/2^-$, which could be compared in the …
Multi-hadron spectroscopy in a large physical volume
2017
We demonstrate the efficacy of the stochastic LapH method to treat all-to-all quark propagation on a $N_f = 2+1$ CLS ensemble with large linear spatial extent $L = 5.5$ fm, allowing us to obtain the benchmark elastic isovector p-wave pion-pion scattering amplitude to good precision already on a relatively small number of gauge configurations. These results hold promise for multi-hadron spectroscopy at close-to-physical pion mass with exponential finite-volume effects under control.
Heavy-hadron interactions from Lattice QCD
2018
I review recent progress in heavy hadron spectroscopy and from ab-initio Lattice QCD calculations. After motivating lattice calculations for heavy-hadrons by contrasting recent LHCb results charmed and doubly-charmed baryons with lattice predictions, selected resultsfrom scattering calculations for heavy-light mesons and for charmonia are presented.I close with a discussion of recent Lattice QCD predictions of explicitlyexotic doubly-heavy states.
Prediction of positive parity Bs mesons and search for the X(5568)
2016
We use a combination of quark-antiquark and $B^{(*)}K$ interpolating fields to predict the mass of two QCD bound states below the $B^*K$ threshold in the quantum channels $J^P=0^+$ and $1^+$. The mesons correspond to the b-quark cousins of the $D_{s0}^*(2317)$ and $D_{s1}(2460)$ and have not yet been observed in experiment, even though they are expected to be found by LHCb. In addition to these predictions, we obtain excellent agreement of the remaining p-wave energy levels with the known $B_{s1}(5830)$ and $B_{s2}^*(5840)$ mesons. The results from our first principles calculation are compared to previous model-based estimates. More recently the D0 collaboration claimed the existence of an …
Spectroscopy, lifetime and decay modes of the Tbb− tetraquark
2020
Abstract We present the first full-fledged study of the flavor-exotic isoscalar T b b − ≡ b b u ¯ d ¯ tetraquark with spin and parity J P = 1 + . We report accurate solutions of the four-body problem in a quark model, characterizing the structure of the state as a function of the ratio M Q / m q of the heavy to light quark masses. For such a standard constituent model, T b b − lies approximately 150 MeV below the strong decay threshold B − B ⁎ ¯ 0 and 105 MeV below the electromagnetic decay threshold B − B ¯ 0 γ . We evaluate the lifetime of T b b − , identifying the promising decay modes where the tetraquark might be looked for in future experiments. Its total decay width is Γ ≈ 87 × 10 − …
Quark mass dependence of s-wave baryon resonances
2003
We study the quark mass dependence of $J^P = \frac12^-$ s-wave baryon resonances. Parameter free results are obtained in terms of the leading order chiral Lagrangian. In the 'heavy' SU(3) limit with $m_\pi =m_K \simeq $ 500 MeV the resonances turn into bound states forming two octets plus a singlet representations of the SU(3) group. A contrasted result is obtained in the 'light' SU(3) limit with $m_\pi =m_K \simeq $ 140 MeV for which no resonances exist. Using physical quark masses our analysis suggests to assign to the $S=-2$ resonances $\Xi(1690)$ and $\Xi(1620)$ the quantum numbers $J^P=1/2^-$.
