β-delayed neutron decay of 104Y, 112Tc, 113Tc and 114Tc: test of half-life predictions for neutron-rich isotopes of refractory elements
1999
Abstract Beta-decay gross properties of neutron-rich isotopes 104Y and 112,113,114Tc produced in 25 MeV proton-induced fission of 238U have been measured. Decays of 104Y with a half-life of 180±60 ms and of 114Tc with a half-life of 150±30 ms are reported for the first time. Beta-delayed neutron emission probabilities of 112,113,114Tc are determined as (1.5±0.2)%, (2.1±0.3)% and (1.3±0.4)%, respectively. Comparison of the observed Pn values with a recent theoretical calculation based on deformed quasiparticle random phase approximation (QRPA) shows good overall agreement for Tc isotopes. However, comparison of beta-decay half-lives of neutron-rich isotopes of Y to Rh with the QRPA model and…
Half-life and configuration of the 1/2+ intruder state in203Bi
1984
The decay properties of theJπ=1/2+,Eexc=1,098 keV state in203Bi were studied. The state was populated via the204Pb(p, 2n) reaction and the activity was studied with the ion guide isotope separator on-line system IGISOL. The half-life of the 1/2+ state was measured to beT1/2=303 ±5 ms. From this value the partial half-lives of the three depopulating branches 1/2+ →7/2− (E3), 1/2+→5/2− (E3 +M2) and 1/2+→9/2 g.s. − (M4) were deduced. Since all the transitions are configuration forbidden in first order, a detailed study of second-order shell-model configuration mixing could be performed.
NUCLEAR PROPERTIES FOR ASTROPHYSICAL AND RADIOACTIVE-ION-BEAM APPLICATIONS
1997
Abstract We tabulate the ground-state odd-proton and odd-neutron spins and parities, proton and neutron pairing gaps, one- and two-neutron separation energies, quantities related to β -delayed one- and two-neutron emission probabilities, average energy and average number of emitted neutrons, β -decay energy release and half-life with respect to Gamow–Teller decay with a phenomenological treatment of first-forbidden decays, one- and two-proton separation energies, and α -decay energy release and half-life for 9318 nuclei ranging from 16O to 339136 and extending from the proton drip line to the neutron drip line. This paper is a new and improved version of Atomic Data And Nuclear Data Table…

Beta decay of the exotic Tz = - 2, $^{56}$Zn nucleus and half-life of various proton-rich Tz = -1 nuclei
2014
Expérience GANIL/LISE3/EXOGAM; International audience; Preliminary results of an experimental study of the beta -decay of the exotic T$_z$ = - 2, $^{56}$Zn nucleus and other proton-rich T$_z$ = -1 nuclei are presented. The ions were produced at GANIL using fragmentation reactions, separated by the LISE3 spectrometer and implanted in a double-sided silicon strip detector surrounded by Ge detectors. The half-lives of $^{56}$Zn and four T$_z$ = -1 nuclei in the fp-shell have been measured. While the decay of the T$_z$ = -1 nuclei proceeds essentially by -delayed gamma emission, in the case of $^{56}$Zn -delayed proton emission is also observed. Moreover, the exotic -delayed gamma-proton decay …
Isomeric states (T½ ≥ 10−10 s) listed according to increasing half-life
1968
Values of some 700 half-lives of isomeric states, ranging from 10−10 seconds to 106 years, are presented in order of increasing half-life.
The new neutron-rich nuclei231Fr and231Ra
1985
The new neutron-rich isotope231Fr has been produced in a spallation reaction of238U induced by 600 MeV protons and identified by mass-separation and decay spectroscopy. In addition, the so far unknown231Ra and the known231Ac have been observed as daughter products. The Z-assignments were performed via the decay of KX-rays, and genetic relationships. Half-lives of 17.5(8) s and 103(3) s were obtained for231Fr and231Ra, respectively.
Search for the radioactivity of 180mTa using an underground HPGe sandwich spectrometer
2009
Abstract The radioactivity of 180m Ta has never been detected. The present attempt to detect it was carried out using a newly developed HPGe sandwich spectrometer installed 500 m water equivalent underground in the HADES laboratory. The sample consisted of 6 discs of tantalum of natural isotopic composition with a total mass of 1500 g and a total mass for 180 Ta of 180 mg. The sample was measured for 68 days and the resulting lower bound for the half-life of 180m Ta was 2.0×10 16 y, which is a factor of 2.8 higher than the previous highest value.
Bioaccumulation, Biodistribution, Toxicology and Biomonitoring of Organofluorine Compounds in Aquatic Organisms
2021
This review is a survey of recent advances in studies concerning the impact of poly- and perfluorinated organic compounds in aquatic organisms. After a brief introduction on poly- and perfluorinated compounds (PFCs) features, an overview of recent monitoring studies is reported illustrating ranges of recorded concentrations in water, sediments, and species. Besides presenting general concepts defining bioaccumulative potential and its indicators, the biodistribution of PFCs is described taking in consideration different tissues/organs of the investigated species as well as differences between studies in the wild or under controlled laboratory conditions. The potential use of species as bioi…
Different protein turnover of interleukin-6-type cytokine signalling components.
1999
Interleukin (IL)-6 and IL-6-type cytokines signal through the gp130/Jak/STAT signal transduction pathway. The key components involved are the signal transducing receptor subunit gp130, the Janus kinases Jak1, Jak2 and Tyk2, STAT1 and STAT3 of the family of signal transducers and activators of transcription, the protein tyrosine phosphatase SHP2 and the suppressors of cytokine signalling SOCS1, SOCS2 and SOCS3. Whereas considerable information has been accumulated concerning the time-course of activation for the individual signalling molecules, data on the availability of the proteins involved in IL-6-type cytokine signal transduction are scarce. Nevertheless, availability of these molecules…
