E-Ring extended estrone derivatives: introduction of 2-phenylcyclopentenone to the estrone D-ring via an intermolecular Pauson–Khand reaction

Abstract An expedient synthetic route to E-ring extended estrone derivatives is reported. Estrone-derived cyclopentenones were accessed by an intermolecular Pauson–Khand (PK) cycloaddition. It was found that electron donating and withdrawing substituents in the arylalkyne increased and decreased the yields of PK products, respectively. The stereochemistry of the products was elucidated by X-ray and NMR studies.

Perinatal brain injury (PBI) leads to neurological disabilities throughout life, from motor deficits, cognitive limitations to severe cerebral palsy. Yet, perinatal brain damage has limited therapeutic outcomes. Besides, the immature brain of premature children is at increased risk of hypoxic/ischemic (HI) injury, with males being more susceptible to it and less responsive to protective/therapeutical interventions. Il contributo esamina le principali questioni interpretative e applicative scaturenti dalla disciplina di cui all'art. 24 d.l. n. 18 del 2020, in tema di permessi aggiuntivi per l'assistenza ai disabili in condizione di handicap grave. Particolare attenzione è dedicata ai limiti che consentono la fruizione dei benefici straordinari al personale sanitario, per il quale sono previste limitazioni che richiedono un complesso e assai incerto bilanciamento fra diritti fondamentali della persona.

International audience; There is a current claim that humans are able to effortlessly detect others’ hidden mental state by simply observing their movements and transforming the visual input into motor knowledge to predict behaviour. Using a classical paradigm quantifying motor predictions, we tested the role of vision feedback during a reach and load-lifting task performed either alone or with the help of a partner. Wrist flexor and extensor muscle activities were recorded on the supporting hand.
