2019
Masteroppgave matematikkdidaktikk MA502 – Universitetet i Agder 2019 The way from Bee-Bot to Scratchis a case study that looks at what competencies the pupilsmanage to pass from anobject programminglanuageto a computer-based programming language.Because programming comes under the core elements of mathematics in the new curriculum that is initiated in the autumn of 2020, I have chosen this research question: "Can the pupils' programming knowledgefrom Bee-Bot be transferred to Scratch in a mathematics session, focusing on computational thinkingand creativity?" The study therefore focusesat howmuch of the various topicsemerge and which competences the pupils manage to pass on from the programm…
Géovisualisation des flux maritimes mondiaux,
2016
2017
Masteroppgave idrettsvitenskap ME517 - Universitetet i Agder 2017 The purpose of this study was to establish pre-competition anxiety, self-confidence and mental toughness among high level handball players before matches during the handball season. The development of pre-competition anxiety and self-confidence before the matches was compared between two different teams and compared between players scoring high and low on mental toughness. Pre-competition anxiety and self-confidence was measured using the questionnaire CSAI-2 and mental toughness was measured using the questionnaire SMTQ. The participants was 34 female handball-players, recruited from two teams playing in the Norwegian nation…
Design of a VR application for pilots as a complementary tool for procedure training of Abnormal Operations
2021
Master's thesis in Multimedia and educational technology (MM506) The aviation industry has been amongst the early adopters of VR for educational purposes, even since the very beginning of VR’s technology establishment and throughout its further development. Flight simulators are invaluable as they let pilots and instructors replicate any situation for learning full control over the plane and improve situational awareness without paying the price of life-safety if using an actual aircraft. Abnormal operations and their procedures are a key subject of safety training, where pilots have to understand and memorize particular orders of actions in order to solve a dangerous situation on board. A …
2021
Investigating Motion Sickness in Racing Simulators using Virtual Reality and a Motion Platform
2021
Master's thesis in Multimedia and educational technology (MM506) Motion sickness has been a downside of virtual reality since its beginning. According to the "Sensory conflict" theory, simulation sickness and cybersickness often occurs due to the feeling of self-motion. This thesis aimed to investigate if a motion platform could mitigate simulation sickness. By using commercial available motion platform and virtual reality headset, the experiment had three conditions, one without any added motion, one with motion and the last with increased motion. Participants were put in a complete racing set to drive an Edge 6D motion simulator in Asseto Corsa. The participants drove a high-speed car for…
Introduction : Mobilité et vulnérabilités
2020
Real-time video transmission in UMTS
2001
Masteroppgave i informasjons- og kommunikasjonsteknologi 2001 - Høgskolen i Agder, Grimstad Universal Mobile Telecommunication System is denoted as a 3rd cellular system and has been designed with the objective to be a system with global coverage. With the major improvement of in bandwidth capability the Universal Mobile Telecommunications System will be able to support real time multimedia services. This thesis starts with a presentation of the possible video services that can be exploited in third generation cellular systems. Video services are known to be bandwidth consuming and have rigid requirements to the real time requirements. Though the major increase in available bandwidth in the…
Testosterone and oxidative stress: the oxidation handicap hypothesis
2007
Secondary sexual traits (SST) are usually thought to have evolved as honest signals of individual quality during mate choice. Honesty of SST is guaranteed by the cost of producing/maintaining them. In males, the expression of many SST is testosterone-dependent. The immunocompetence handicap hypothesis has been proposed as a possible mechanism ensuring honesty of SST on the basis that testosterone, in addition to its effect on sexual signals, also has an immunosuppressive effect. The immunocompetence handicap hypothesis has received mixed support. However, the cost of testosterone-based signalling is not limited to immunosuppression and might involve other physiological functions such as the…
