Pairing gap and in-gap excitations in trapped fermionic superfluids
2004
We consider trapped atomic Fermi gases with Feshbach-resonance enhanced interactions in pseudogap and superfluid temperatures. We calculate the spectrum of RF(or laser)-excitations for transitions that transfer atoms out of the superfluid state. The spectrum displays the pairing gap and also the contribution of unpaired atoms, i.e. in-gap excitations. The results support the conclusion that a superfluid, where pairing is a many-body effect, was observed in recent experiments on RF spectroscopy of the pairing gap.
Impact pronostique de l’HbA1c et de la glycémie plasmatique (Gp) à la phase aiguë d’un infarctus du myocarde sur la mortalité à un an chez des patien…
2020
International audience; Background: The usefulness of the combined assessment of HbA1c and plasma glucose (PG) in acute myocardial infarction (AMI) in non-diabetic patients remains unclear.Purpose: In a large observational study, we aimed to identify the prognostic values of these biomarkers regarding one-year all-cause mortality in non-diabetic patients after AMI.Methods: From the "obseRvatoire des Infarctus de Côte d'Or" (RICO) survey database, we included all consecutive non-diabetic patients with AMI (n=6617) from May 2001 to December 2016. Exclusion criteria were: admission known or unknown diabetes, in-hospital death. The primary endpoint was all-cause one-year mortality. The secondar…
Helicobacter pylori Infection in Type 1 Diabetes Children and Adolescents Using 13C Urea Breath Test
2014
There is a 10–30% prevalence of HP infection in the general pediatric population in Poland. This study aimed to determine its prevalence in T1DM children in Upper Silesia, Poland and estimate its influence on metabolic control of patients. We studied 149(82♀) children with T1DM (duration >12 months, mean HbA1c) and 298(164♀) age-matched controls. In all cases height and weight z-scores and Cole’s index were assessed. In T1DM patients additionally glycated hemoglobin A1c and T1DM duration were analyzed. Presence of HP infection was determined using 13C-isotope-labeled urea breath test (UBT) (fasting and 30min after ingestion 75 mg of 13C urea). HP infection was present in 17 (11.4%) T1DM pat…
Diabetes care practices and outcomes in 40.000 children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes from the SWEET registry during the COVID-19 pandemic
2023
Aims This study aimed to provide a global insight into initiatives in type 1 diabetes care driven by the COVID-19 pandemic and associations with glycemic outcomes. Methods An online questionnaire regarding diabetes care before and during the pandemic was sent to all centers (n=97, 66,985 youth with type 1 diabetes) active in the SWEET registry. Eighty-two responded, and 70 (42,798 youth with type 1 diabetes) had available data (from individuals with type 1 diabetes duration >3 months, aged ≤21 years) for all 4 years from 2018 to 2021. Statistical models were adjusted, among others, for technology use. Results Sixty-five centers provided telemedicine during COVID-19. Among those centers naiv…
Remission phase in children diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) in years 2012-2013 in Silesia, Poland – an observational study
2019
Background/Objective The study aimed to analyze the frequency of partial remission (PR) and its association with chosen clinical and laboratory factors among pediatric patients with newly diagnosed type 1 diabetes (T1D). The long‐term effect of PR on chosen parameters was also investigated. Methods In 194 patients (95 girls) aged 8.1 ± 4.3 years, we analyzed data at T1D onset: glycemia, pH, C‐peptide, antibodies, weight, and concomitant autoimmune diseases. Anthropometric parameters, daily insulin requirement (DIR), and HbA1c 2 and 4 years after T1D diagnosis were also analyzed. We determined PR based on HbA1c and DIR measurements at least every 3 months. Results PR occurred in 59% of patie…
Ajūrvēda individualizētā cukura diabēta terapijā
2015
