Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää nuorten aikuisten odotuksia ja toiveita perheen perustamiseen liittyen. Taustalla vaikuttavana ilmiönä oli syntyvyyden lasku ja perheen perustamisen siirtäminen. Aineisto kerättiin haastattelemalla kahtakymmentä lapsetonta 18–25-vuotiasta, kymmentä naista ja kymmentä miestä. Tutkittavat edustivat sekä korkeakoulutettuja että toisen asteen koulutuksen käyneitä. Puolistrukturoidut teemahaastattelut toteutettiin touko–kesä- kuussa 2017 viidellä eri paikkakunnalla. Foot-strike and the associated load rate are factors related to overuse injuries in runners. The purpose of this study was to analyse structural and functional changes in runners using floating heel running shoes, compared with runners using conventional footwear. A randomised control trial was conducted. Twenty runners with overuse injuries were followed over a 12-week gait retraining programme using floating heel running shoes or their conventional footwear. T9+HUD: Physical Keypad and HUD can Improve Driving Performance while Typing and Driving

We introduce T9+HUD, a text entry method designed to decrease visual distraction while driving and typing. T9+HUD combines a physical 3x4 keypad on the steering wheel with a head-up-display (HUD) for projecting output on the windshield. Previous work suggests this may be a visually less demanding way to type while driving than the popular case which requires shifts of visual attention away from the road. We present a prototype design and report first results from a controlled evaluation in a driving simulator. This study aimed to develop a valid and reliable performance analysis template for quantifying team action variables in elite men’s wheelchair basketball. First action variables and operational definitions were identified by the authors and verified by an expert panel of wheelchair basketball coaching staff in order to establish expert validity. A total of 109 action variable were then placed into 17 agreed Categorical Predictor Variable categories.
