In this work we are going to take a chronological and typological tour by studying the iconography that appears in the Hellenistic wares imported from the Central and Oriental Mediterranean between 3rd and 2nd centuries BC in Hispania Citerior, in particular from Cartagena. We are going to analyze its functionality in the places of origin, and with the help of the Hispanic contexts we will conclude whether its presence here is a consequence of a certain commercial dynamic, or if it answers to a decorative preference, of taste or trend; even if the images are significant related to ritual or convivial uses, public or private, by the local inhabitant who acquires and uses them.

Previous theoretical and empirical evidence suggests that species composition within trophic levels may profoundly affect the response of trophic-level biomasses to enhanced basal resources. To test whether species composition of microbivorous nematodes has such an effect in microbial-based soil food webs, I created three microcosm food webs, consisting of bacteria, fungi, bacterial-feeding nematodes (Acrobeloides tricornus, Caenorhabditis elegans), fungal-feeding nematodes (Aphelenchus avenae, Aphelenchoides sp.) and a predatory nematode (Prionchulus punctatus). Bacteria and microbial-feeders modify the performance of a decomposer fungus

Abstract We studied whether the presence of a bacterium can affect the functioning or stability of simple fungal-based decomposer food chains. We constructed microcosms with 60 g washed mineral soil and four different food webs: (1) a fungus (Cladosporium herbarum) alone; (2) a fungus and a fungal-feeding nematode (Aphelenchoides sp.); (3) a fungus and a bacterium (Escherichia coli); and (4) a fungus, a bacterium, a fungal- and a bacterial-feeding nematode (Aphelenchoides sp. and Acrobeloides tricornus). Entre la segunda mitad del s.III y el inicio del II antes de nuestra era, tres mujeres realizaron negocios con las ciudades beocias de Orcómenos y Copas, a las cuales habían prestado dinero. Las tres tenían una fortuna personal y se habían hecho con cierta autonomía, aunque el tutor de la primera de ellas sea mencionado. A la luz de estudios recientes, el artículo trata de evaluar el grado de fortuna de estas mujeres y la medida en la que actuaron por propia iniciativa o simplemente sirviendo de instrumento en las estrategias familiares dirigidas por los hombres.
