Typification of the marine siphonous green algae Caulerpa prolifera (Bryopsidales, Chlorophyta)
2015
The typification of the marine siphonous green algae Caulerpa prolifera (Forsskål) J.V. Lamouroux (≡ Fucus prolifer Forsskål) (Caulerpaceae), including f. obovata (J. Agardh) Weber-van Bosse and f. zosterifolia Børgesen, is discussed. Original material conserved in the Natural History Museum of Denmark (Copenhagen) at C (Herbarium Forsskålii) and in the Botanical Museum of Lund University at LD are designated as the corresponding lectotypes.
A new look atOrthotrichum scanicumGrönvall (Orthotrichaceae, Bryophyta)
2009
Abstract Orthotrichum scanicum Gronvall has been considered a European endemic whose main range corresponded to the central and northern region of the continent, and it is currently included in the 2007 IUCN World Red List as Vulnerable. However, a large number of recent reports and the examination of herbarium specimens have remarkably expanded the limits of its area in the Mediterranean and Caucasian regions. Additionally, the revision of the original collections of Orthotrichum holmenii from Kazakhstan shows that this taxon is conspecific with O. scanicum. An updated description of the species comprising the known range of its morphological variability is provided, and its exclusion from…
Atrazine uptake, elimination, and bioconcentration by periphyton communities and Daphnia magna: effects of dissolved organic carbon.
2001
The bioconcentration and toxicokinetics of atrazine in three different periphyton communities and in laboratory reared Daphnia magna were studied in natural and artificial waters with different dissolved organic carbon (DOC) concentrations and qualities. The exposure concentrations were similar to those short-lived peak concentrations found in contaminated waters. Atrazine uptake and elimination were very fast, and the bioconcentration was low both in periphyton and D. magna. The bioconcentration factors in D. magna were approx. 16% of those in periphyton. The uptake and elimination rates were also higher in periphyton than in Daphnia. The periphyton properties affected the bioconcentration…

Morphological and molecular evidence for interspecific hybridisation in the introduced African genusCrassocephalum(Asteraceae: Senecioneae) in Asia
2009
Abstract The genus Crassocephalum in Asia, introduced there from Africa, was examined by extensive field work, herbarium studies, analyses of pollen and seed fertility, chromosome counts and ITS and trnL‐F sequencing. We found that Crassocephalum in Asia comprises two species and their interspecific hybrid. The two species are C. crepidioides (Benth.) S. Moore and C. rubens (Juss. ex Jacq.) S. Moore, of which the latter is a new record for Asia (north Thailand). The hybrid between these two species in north Thailand originated from a cross between C. crepidioides (2n = 40) as female and C. rubens (2n = 40) as male parent.

Revision of the structure of torrentin
1989
Abstract The structure of the eudesmanolide torrentin from Artemisia herba-alba subs valentine has been revised on the basis of high-field 1 H NMR spectroscopy and chemical correlations.
New antimicrobial metabolites from the medicinal herb Artemisia herba-Alba
2019
Artemisia herba-alba is widely used in traditional medicines for the treatment of several diseases. From the aerial parts organic extract of A. herba-alba, two new compounds, 1,3,8-trihydroxyeudesm-4-en-7α,11βH-12,6α-olide (1) and 5-β-D-glucopyranosyloxy-7-methoxy-6H-benzopyran-2-one (2), respectively, together with five known metabolites: 3α,8β-dihydroxygermacr-4(15),9(10)-dien-7β,11αH,12,6α-olide (3), 1β,8α-dihydroxy-11α,13-dihydrobalchanin (4), 11-epiartapshin (5), tomenin (6) and benzoic acid, p-(β-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-methyl ester (7), were isolated and identified. The chemical structures were proven depending upon spectroscopic analysis, including 1 D/2D NMR as and ESI-MS…
Lectotypification of the name Cistus stipulatus, basyonim of Helianthemum stipulatum (Cistaceae)
2015
The typification of the name Cistus stipulatus Forsskål (≡ Helianthemum stipulatum (Forsskål) Christensen) is discussed. The designation of the nomenclatural type is based on an assessment of Forsskål’s original material. The name is lectotypified selecting a specimen from the Herbarium Forsskålii in the National Herbarium Copenhagen at C.
Development of the optical multiplexer board prototype for data acquisition in TileCal experiment
2005
The optical multiplexer board is one of the elements present in the read out chain of the tile calorimeter in ATLAS experiment. Due to radiation effects, two optical fibers with the same data come out from the front end boards to this board, which has to decide in real time which one carries good data and pass them to the read out driver motherboard for processing. This paper describes the design and tests of the first prototype, implemented as a 6U VME64x slave module, including both hardware and firmware aspects. In this last, algorithms for cyclic redundancy code checking are used to make the decision. Besides, the board may be used as a data injector for testing purposes of the read out…
