Measurements of diachronic stability of agrarian exploitation

2007

International audience; Off-site material has two main interesting properties which are that it is spatially continuous and diachronic. Such data can be used to estimate how ancient societies invested in a space in terms of intensity, durability and stability, over the long term. This micro-analysis is based on a precise record of off-site material based on collection units which never exceed five hectares. Each off-site sherd was dated and attributed to one of seven chronological phases. Three new indicators are proposed to measure the level of investment of ancient societies. The computing and mapping of these indicators was done using GIS software. The data used in this paper come mainly…

High bit rate optical pulses sources generation and microstructured chalcogenide fibers characterizations

2011

This memory of thesis s' registered voter in the context of the FUTUR project financed by l'ANR and concerning the development of optical finctions fot the high bit-rate transmissions in the Network heart and carries on very high rates optical fibers sources generation and the optical chalcogenide microstructured fiber charaterization. For this purpose, we study the linear and non-linear characteristics of microstructured chalcogenide fibers conceived and realized in various collaborations within the framework of the ANR FUTUR project. For that a great number of characterizations methods were developed giving a comparison between a standard single mode fiber and there microstructured chalco…

Characterization and Investigation of NLO Properties of some Selected Electrodeposited Polythiophenes

2009

In this work we study the electronic properties of ClO− doped polythiophenes and discuss the nonlinear optical properties of these organic 4 compounds galvanostatically electrodeposited on ITO glasses. The investigation on the electronic properties (band gap, flat band potential) was performed by means of a non-destructive optical technique, photocurrent spectroscopy (PCS). The investigation on the nonlinear optical response was carried out by means of second and third harmonic generation (SHG and THG) measurements. In particular, the effect of the oxidation state of the polymeric films was studied by comparing the NLO response of oxidized and reduced polythiophenes. Reduced poly- meric films …

Prognostic Factors And Risk Groups In T1g3 Patients Initially Treated With Bcg: Results Of A Multicenter Retrospective Series In 2530 Patients

2013

INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES: The impact of prognostic factors in T1G3 patients (pts) is critical for proper treatment decision making, however most available data are from small series of pts. The aim of the current study is to assess prognostic factors in a large group of pts who received BCG as initial treatment of T1G3 tumours and identify a subgroup of high risk pts who should be considered for early cystectomy. METHODS: Individual pt data were collected for 2530 pts from 23 centers who received induction or maintenance BCG between 1990 and 2008. Using Cox regression analysis, the prognostic importance of the following variables were assessed for time to recurrence, progression to muscl…

A Bioinformatics Analysis of Lamin A Regulatory Network: a Perspective on Epigenetic Involvement in Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome

2011

Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome (HGPS) is a rare human genetic disease that leads to premature ageing and ageing-associated phenotype. HGPS is caused by mutation in the lamin A (LMNA) gene that leads, in affected young individuals, to the generation of progerin, a splicing mutant of lamin A. A bioinformatics analysis of the LMNA gene network of interactions is presented. Lamin A seems to be involved in epigenetic regulation of transcription, chromatin remodelling, DNA repair, with key roles in stemness regulation, normal ageing and telomere functions. The study suggests particular relevance of chromatin remodellers and histones covalent modifiers in the LMNA network. Specifically, HTAT…

Integration of Capital Markets from Central and Eastern Europe: Implications for EU Investors

2014

Our paper investigates the extent of capital market co-movements between three emerging markets– Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland – and three developed markets from the European Union - Austria, France and Germany. We test whether an increase in correlations between the six markets took place in recent years, as revealing higher integration of capital markets in the region. We find a statistically significant positive trend in cross-market correlations between 1999 and 2008, before the emergence of the global financial crisis. Movements in national stock markets are not fully synchronized, but increases in market volatilities lead to increases in cross-country correlations. There is a lon…

Epigenetic involvement in Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome: a mini-review.

2013

Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome (HGPS) is a rare human genetic disease that leads to a severe premature ageing phenotype, caused by mutations in the LMNA gene. The LMNA gene codes for lamin-A and lamin-C proteins, which are structural components of the nuclear lamina. HGPS is usually caused by a de novo C1824T mutation that leads to the accumulation of a dominant negative form of lamin-A called progerin. Progerin also accumulates physiologically in normal ageing cells as a rare splicing form of lamin-A transcripts. From this perspective, HGPS cells seem to be good candidates for the study of the physiological mechanisms of ageing…

LAS DEDUCCIONES EN LA CUOTA DIFERENCIAL DEL IRPF POR RAZONES FAMILIARES

2016

Fundoplicatio sec. Nissen videolaparoscopica e metaplasia intestinale in esofago: osservazioni preliminari

2005

The aim of this preliminary study conducted in a few cases was the retrospective evaluation of the effects of laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication on oesophageal intestinal metaplasia. Seventy-seven patients with hiatal hernia underwent digital videofluorography, endoscopy with biopsies, motility studies and 24-h oesophageal pH-monitoring. On the basis of the results of the diagnostic procedures and considering the patients' ages and response to proton-pump inhibitor treatment, 8 patients underwent laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication; in 5 cases intestinal metaplasia was present at histopathological examination. Two of these had Barrett's oesophagus at endoscopy and intestinal metaplasia was a…
