B-parameters for $\Delta S = 2$ SUSY Operators
1998
We present the first lattice measurement, using Non Perturbative Renormalization Method, of the B-parameters of the dimension-six four-fermion operators relevant for the supersymmetric corrections to the $\Delta S=2$ transitions.
$B_s\pi^+$ scattering and search for X(5568) with lattice QCD
2016
We investigate $B_s\pi^+$ scattering in s-wave using lattice QCD in order to search for an exotic resonance X(5568) with flavor $\bar b s \bar d u$; such a state was recently reported by D0 but was not seen by LHCb. If X(5568) with $J^P=0^+$ exists, it can strongly decay only to $B_s\pi^+$ and lies significantly below all other thresholds, which makes a lattice search for X(5568) cleaner and simpler than for other exotic candidates. Both an elastic resonance in $B_s\pi^+$ as well as a deeply bound $B^+\bar K^0$ would lead to distinct signatures in the energies of lattice eigenstates, which are not seen in our simulation. We therefore do not find a candidate for X(5568) with $J^P=0^+$ in agr…
$\eta$-$\eta'$ mixing in large-$N_c$ chiral perturbation theory: discussion, phenomenology, and prospects
2015
A systematic study of the $\eta$-$\eta'$ mixing in Large-$N_c$ chiral perturbation theory is presented with special emphasis on the role of the next-to-next-to-leading-order contributions in the combined momentum, quark-mass, and $1/N_c$ expansions. At this order, loop corrections as well as OZI-rule-violating pieces need to be included. Mixing angles as well as pseudoscalar decay constants are discussed within this framework. The results are compared with recent phenomenological approaches.
Improved description of the $\pi N$-scattering phenomenology in covariant baryon chiral perturbation theory
2012
We present a novel analysis of the $\pi N$ scattering amplitude in covariant baryon chiral perturbation theory up to ${\cal O}(p^3)$ within the extended-on-mass-shell renormalization scheme and including the $\Delta(1232)$ explicitly in the $\delta$-counting. We take the hadronic phase shifts provided by partial wave analyses as basic experimental information to fix the low-energy constants. Subsequently, we study in detail the various observables and low-energy theorems related to the $\pi N$ scattering amplitude. In particular, we discuss the results and chiral expansion of the phase shifts, the threshold coefficients, the Goldberger-Treiman relation, the pion-nucleon sigma term and the e…
The cosmic QCD transition for large lepton flavour asymmetries
2022
We study the impact of large lepton flavour asymmetries on the cosmic QCD transition. Scenarios of unequal lepton flavour asymmetries are observationally almost unconstrained and therefore open up a whole new parameter space for the cosmic QCD transition. We find that for large asymmetries the formation of a Bose-Einstein condensate of pions can occur and identify the corresponding parameter space. In the vicinity of the QCD transition scale, we express the pressure in terms of a Taylor expansion with respect to the complete set of chemical potentials. The Taylor coefficients rely on input from lattice QCD calculations from the literature. The domain of applicability of this method is discu…
Reanalysis of lattice QCD spectra leading to the $D_{s0}^*(2317)$ and $D_{s1}^*(2460)$
2014
We perform a reanalysis of the energy levels obtained in a recent lattice QCD simulation, from where the existence of bound states of $KD$ and $KD^*$ are induced and identified with the narrow $D_{s0}^*(2317)$ and $D_{s1}^*(2460)$ resonances. The reanalysis is done in terms of an auxiliary potential, employing a single-channel basis $KD^{(*)}$, and a two-channel basis $KD^{(*)}, \eta D_s^{(*)}$. By means of an extended L\"uscher method we determine poles of the continuum $t$-matrix, bound by about 40 MeV with respect to the $KD$ and $KD^*$ thresholds, which we identify with the $D_{s0}^*(2317)$ and $D_{s1}^*(2460)$ resonances. Using a sum rule that reformulates Weinberg compositeness condit…
Progress in kaon physics on the lattice
2007
CKM-unitarity, direct and indirect CP-violation and the \Delta I=1/2 rule in full lattice QCD are the focus of this talk. To this end I will discuss and compare recent lattice results for leptonic, semi-leptonic and non-leptonic decays of the kaon and neutral kaon mixing and I will motivate current best estimates f_K/f_\pi=1.198(10), f_+^{K\pi}(0)=0.964(5) and \hat{B}_K=0.720(39). Moreover new theoretical advances that will improve the quality of these computations in the future will be discussed.

Moments of GPDs and transverse-momentum dependent PDFs from the lattice
2010
I review lattice-QCD calculations of the electromagnetic and generalized form factors (GFFs), which determine the transverse structure of the nucleon, and briefly comment on recent calculations related to transverse-momentum dependent parton distribution functions (TMDPDFs).
The nucleon mass and pion-nucleon sigma term from a chiral analysis of Nf = 2+1 lattice QCD world data
2014
Fits of the p^4 covariant SU(2) baryon chiral perturbation theory to lattice QCD nucleon mass data from several collaborations for 2 and 2+1 flavors are presented. We consider contributions from explicit Delta(1232) degrees of freedom, finite volume and finite spacing corrections. We emphasize here our Nf=2+1 study. We obtain low-energy constants of natural size that are compatible with the rather linear pion-mass dependence of the nucleon mass observed in lattice QCD. We report a value for the pion-nucleon sigma term of 41(5)(4) MeV for the 2 flavor case and 52(3)(8) MeV for 2+1 flavors.
