Limit analysis of a beam in bending immersed in an elastoplastic medium

The behavior of the beam-soil system is examined within the scope of the bilateral schematization of ideal elastoplastic bodies, in the following work stages; the expression for the limit load is supplied for each stage: Two peculiar features of the problem are highlighted:1) the “plastic hinge migration” phenomenon, due to the elastic unloading of the material, and2) the successive propagation of plastification in the soil which, being related to the displacement of the hinges in the beam, leads to the identification of the collapse mechanism of the systme.

A figurative element made out of bronze was discovered in a 2008 evaluation at Fragnes (Saône-et-Loire) near to Chalon-sur-Saône. This very original element was discovered in an untypical context. It is the foot of a vessel in the form of a sphinx with a lion's paw. Teaching classic put to the test: Do tongue twisters work for L2 pronunciation?

Tongue twisters are a controversial pronunciation teaching classic. Whereas some see tongue twisters difficult and frustrating for learners, others find them fun and motivating. This study was inspired by these opposing views and the fact that previous studies have failed to offer convincing proof of whether this technique works for L2 pronunciation learning. This study approaches the question with a teaching experiment. Participants were 28 learners of L2 Swedish. Half of them trained with tongue twisters and half with authentic sentences. Terminalna šarnirska os može se odrediti na dva načina: egzaktna (točna metoda) i metoda prosječne šarnirske osi. Za točnu lokalizaciju šarnirske osi u ovom je istraživanju upotrijebljen Lauritzen - pribor i SAM obrazni luk s metalnim pločicama i milimetarskim papirom. Ispitivalo se s kojom je točnošću moguće odrediti šarnirsku os i s kojom inkongruencijom šarnirske osi i osi artikulatora treba računati pri primjeni metode prosječne šarnirske osi. Dobivene vrijednosti pri montaži donjih modela prema točno određenoj šarnirskoj osi varirale su ± 0,8 mm od srednje vrijednosti u sagitalnoj i vertikalnoj ravnini.
