Eero Wallenius tutki väitöskirjassaan langattomiin monipääsy- ja monipalveluverkkoihin liittyviä kysymyksiä. Hän selvitti 3/4G ja WLAN -verkkojen palvelun laadun laskutuksen säätöä ja hallintaa sekä esitti laskutus- ja säätömalleja analyysien ja simulointien avulla.Palvelun laadun ja laskutuksen suhdetta on jo aikaisemmin tutkittu. Tutkimuksen tulokset ovat helposti sovellettavissa langattomiin 3/4G ja WLAN -verkkoihin. Wallenius tutki myös tilaajan hyväksymissuhdetta palvelun hinnoitteluun. Tutkielmassa tarkastellaan arkistoaineistojen tutkimuskäytön suhdetta arkistoaineiston arvonmääritykseen. Kuinka arkistot määrittävät säilytettävän aineiston arvon ja kuinka käyttäjien tarpeet heijastuvat arkistoaineiston arvonmääritykseen? Arvonmääritystä tarkastellaan ennen kaikkea arkistoja hyödyntävän historiantutkimuksen näkökulmasta. Tutkielma jakaantuu temaattisesti kahteen toisiinsa limittyvään kokonaisuuteen. For the 2014-2015 Winter, thetemperature patterns and the Air Quality measured over the Grand Dijon urban area are studied together.Meteorological conditions favoring the development of an Urban Heat Island (UHI) are distinguished fromthose giving rise to pollution episodes. Winter UHI are next characterized, with radiative situations followedafter the sunset by relatively strong UHI (about 3°C), and days with no insolation during which anthropogenicheat is suspected to produce a small UHI (few tenths of °C).

Analysis of Received Signal Strength Quantization in Fingerprinting Localization

In recent times, Received Signal Strength (RSS)-based Wi-Fi fingerprinting localization has become one of the most promising techniques for indoor localization. The primary aim of RSS is to check the quality of the signal to determine the coverage and the quality of service. Therefore, fine-resolution RSS is needed, which is generally expressed by 1-dBm granularity. However, we found that, for fingerprinting localization, fine-granular RSS is unnecessary. This article aims to show the interest of statistics available on the Internet concerning consultations of abstracts, downloads and citations of articles to assess the attractiveness and influence of a scientific review. This interest is illustrated by the case of the review Finance Contrôle Stratégie on the basis of the statistics provided by Repec and Publish or Perish. Beyond the findings that confirm the good performance of FCS and the usefulness of these statistics for the management of a scientific review, the article also provides insights into the life cycle of an article and the choice of the language of publication.

This article intends to read Fanon, a Novel, written in 2008 by John Edgar Wideman, as an attempt to decolonize the archive, more specifically the Fanonian archive. Rather than trying to exhume the legacy of the Martiniquan thinker, the novel proposes to set Fanon’s thought in motion, allowing it to unfold before the reader’s eyes. Thus summoned up, the archive assumes an eminently political role. No longer an origin in a teleological narrative, it can only be apprehended by a text that deliberately practices generic blurring and intermingling as a mode of writing.
