Background and aims: A narrative review of quantitative population-based longitudinal studies was conducted to examine the association of formal voluntary work and personal well-being among older people doing the voluntary work and those being served. Search for low-energy neutrinos from astrophysical sources with Borexino

We report on searches for neutrinos and antineutrinos from astrophysical sources performed with the Borexino detector at the Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso in Italy. Electron antineutrinos ($\bar{\nu}_e$) are detected in an organic liquid scintillator through the inverse $\beta$-decay reaction. In the present work we set model-independent upper limits in the energy range 1.8-16.8 MeV on neutrino fluxes from unknown sources that improve our previous results, on average, by a factor 2.5. Using the same data set, we first obtain experimental constraints on the diffuse supernova $\bar{\nu}_e$ fluxes in the previously unexplored region below 8 MeV. The seismic sequence that struck central Italy in 2016-2017 triggered intense de- and reterritorialization processes. This paper examines the cases of Capricchia and Configno (Amatrice, RI) where, with the active participation of non-residents owners of second homes, the communities have undergone autonomous processes in order to not abandon the place of residence while waiting for the institutional emergency solutions. Based on the perspective of social geography, this paper intends to analyze the bottom-up reterritorialization processes and open the discussion on the value and legitimacy of intervention of non-resident subjects.

Abstract This paper presents a method for Pt analysis in indoor (homes and cars) settled dust, used as passive samplers, and the results relative to samples collected in the Sicilian area are used to evaluate the magnitude and distribution of concentrations inside common environments and the possible origins of the considered contaminant. The concentrations of platinum in settled indoor dust were measured by differential pulsed voltammetry (DPV). Concentrations of Pt in homes are in the range from 30 to 1460 μg kg − 1 d.w. while, in the vehicles from 30 to 1750 μg kg − 1 d.w. Autonomia dorosłych osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną - perspektywa porównawcza

Głównym celem przedstawionych w artykule badań własnych było określenie, jaki jest poziom autonomii dorosłych osób z głębszą niepełnosprawnością intelektualną (N = 133) mieszkających w różnych środowiskach. Uwzględniono perspektywę dorosłych osób mieszkających z rodzicami (N = 62), pensjonariuszy domów pomocy społecznej (N = 40) oraz mieszkańców domów L’Arche (N = 31). Wiek respondentów mieścił się przedziale od 18 do 68 lat (M = 38,82; SD = 12,71). Posłużono się metodą sondażu diagnostycznego.
