Abstract Background Bisphosphonates (BPs) are currently the chief drugs for the prevention/treatment of osteoporosis; one of their adverse effects is the osteonecrosis of the jaw (BRONJ). The primary endpoints of this multi-center cross-sectional study are: i) an observation of the clinical features of BRONJ in 87 osteoporotic, non-cancer patients; and ii) an evaluation of their demographic variables and comorbidities. Beals–Hecht syndrome and choroidal neovascularization

PURPOSE To describe a case of choroidal neovascularization (CNV) in a female diagnosed with Beals-Hecht syndrome. METHODS A retrospective, interventional case is described in a 26-year-old female complaining of metamorphopsia and visual loss in her left eye (counting fingers). The fluorescein angiogram and the optical coherence tomography supported the diagnosis of CNV. Intravitreal ranibizumab was administered. RESULTS After the third intravitreal ranibizumab, her visual acuity improved to 0.8 and the morphology of the macular area was restored. Niistä poimittiin syitä kemian opiskelun aloittamiselle ja pohdittiin näiden vaikutusta motivaatioon opiskella kemiaa. Lomakkeiden vastauksista kerättiin myös aloittaneiden opiskelijoiden odotuksia kemian opinnoista ja verrattiin näitä keväällä 2016 ensimmäisen vuoden opiskelijoille suoritetun kyselyn vastauksiin. Bakalaura darbs „Latvijas hiphop subkultūra kā identitāti konstruējošs elements” tapis, lai izpētītu, kā Latvijas hiphopa subkultūrai piederošie mūziķi saista savu identitāti ar Latvijas hiphopa subkulturālo identitāti. Pētījuma gaitā tika izvēlēti vairāki identitāti konstruējoši elementi – mūzika, apģērbs, dzimtes lomas un valoda. The problem of artistic destruction and its reconstruction has been little studied. Using a microhistorical analysis method, we study the town of Lliria (Valencia) and its brotherhood of ?La Sang de Jesucrist? (had a great heritage from the 16th to the 19th centuries), and we also analyze how and why this destruction and reconstruction was generated during the context of the civil war. We use and combine different sources (public of the ?Causa General? and private of the ?Minute Books?) for this research, with the intention of specifying the analysis of this complex process.
