El enfermo de Sida y otros enfermos crónicos : estudio de la interacción en contextos hospitalarios y de la vivencia de la enfermedad

Este estudio se centra en el enfermo crónico hospitalizado de larga estancia, concretamente enfermos de sida (fase terminal) y otros enfermos crónicos (estado grave). El objetivo fue analizar las diferencias entre ambos grupos de enfermos en las variables relacionadas con la vivencia de la enfermedad, y en las interacciones entre estos enfermos y el resto de las personas que interactúan con ellos en el contexto hospitalario. Los participantes fueron 51 enfermos crónicos hospitalizados en un hospital de larga estancia de la provincia de Valencia, 20 de sida y 31 de otras patologías. Aims: The role of non‐invasive telemedicine (TM) combining telemonitoring and teleintervention by videoconference (VC) in patients recently admitted due to heart failure (HF) (‘vulnerable phase’ HF patients) is not well established. The aim of the Heart failure Events reduction with Remote Monitoring and eHealth Support (HERMeS) trial is to assess the impact on clinical outcomes of implementing a TM service based on mobile health (mHealth), which includes remote daily monitoring of biometric data and symptom reporting (telemonitoring) combined with VC structured, nurse‐based follow‐up (teleintervention).
