Z dziejów kultury muzycznej w kościele parafialnym pw. św. Wawrzyńca męczennika w Starym Waliszowie

Początki kultury muzycznej Starego Waliszowa związane są z tamtejszą świątynią pw. św. Wawrzyńca. Prawdopodobnie już w XVIII wieku istniała tam kapela muzyczna. Prowadzona była przez miejscowych nauczycieli, którzy byli jednocześnie organistami i kościelnymi. Na przełomie XIX i XX stulecia funkcję chórmistrza pełnił przez 37 lat Josef Ho1 mann. Za jego kadencji miejscowi muzycy włączyli się w ogólnoniemiecki ruch odnowy muzyki kościelnej. W 1905 roku odbył się w Starym Waliszowie walny zjazd członków Stowarzyszenia Cecyliańskiego Hrabstwa Kłodzkiego. ABSTRACT It is generally accepted that Bacillus thuringiensis Cry toxins insert into the apical membrane of the larval midgut after binding to specific receptors, and there is evidence that the distribution of binding molecules along the midgut is not uniform. By use of the voltage-sensitive dye DiSC 3 (5) and 125 I-labeled Cry1Ac, we have measured the effect of Cry1Ac in terms of permeabilization capacity and of binding parameters on brush border membrane vesicles (BBMV) prepared from the anterior and the posterior regions of the larval midgut from two insect species, Manduca sexta and Helicoverpa armigera . ABSTRACT Sesamia nonagrioides is one of the most damaging pests of corn in Spain and other Mediterranean countries. Bt corn expressing the Bacillus thuringiensis Cry1Ab toxin is being grown on about 58,000 ha in Spain. Here we studied the mode of action of this Cry protein on S. nonagrioides (binding to specific receptors, stability of binding, and pore formation) and the modes of action of other Cry proteins that were found to be active in this work (Cry1Ac, Cry1Ca, and Cry1Fa). Lanostanes are a group of tetracyclic triterpenoids derived from lanosterol. They have relevant biological and pharmacological properties, such as their cytotoxic effects via induction of apoptosis. This review compiles the most relevant lanostanoids studied from 2000 to 2011, principally those isolated from Ganoderma lucidum and other related fungi, such as Poria cocos, Laetiporus sulphureus, Inonotus obliquus, Antrodia camphorata, Daedalea dickinsii, and Elfvingia applanata, which have great potential as anticancer agents because of their cytotoxic or apoptotic effects. Despite the importance of the adjuvant in the immunization process, very few adjuvants merge with the antigens in vaccines. A synthetic self-adjuvant oleic-vinyl sulfone (OVS) linked to the catalytic region of recombinant serine/threonine phosphatase 2A from the nematode Angiostrongylus costaricensis (rPP2A) was used for intranasal immunization in mice previously infected with Trichuris muris. The animal intranasal immunization with rPP2A-OVS showed a reduction of 99.01% in the number of the nematode eggs and 97.90% in adult. Il saggio affronta la ricostruzione virtuale delle crociere dell’aula della chiesa di San Domenico a Cagliari, distrutta nel 1943 dai bombardamenti alleati che colpirono la città. La ricostruzione virtuale, combinando gli strumenti dell’indagine storica e della rappresentazione digitale, è stata impiegata per comprendere il processo costruttivo della copertura dell’aula. Jacopo Salemi: un modello ligneo per il monastero di San Nicolò l'Arena a Catania

Jacopo Salemi, architetto e scultore proveniente dalla città di Castrogiovanni, il giorno 8 novembre 1563 a Catania, sottoscrive un contratto con la congregazione dei monaci benedettini per la costruzione di un modello in legno della chiesa San Nicolò l’Arena che si stava costruendo dal 1558 sul confine ovest della città. Il documento che regola l’incarico tra Salemi e i benedettini è datato 24 febbraio 1564 ed è custodito presso l’Archivio di Stato di Catania; tale documento rivela che il modello realizzato da Salemi sarebbe stato valutato da due esperti incaricati provenienti dalla città di Messina.
