Vēlētāju likumdošanas iniciatīvas tiesības ir būtisks tiešās demokrātijas realizācijas instruments, ar kura starpniecību tautai kā suverēnam ir iespēja likumdošanas procesa ceļā tieši iesaistīties valstiski svarīgu lēmumu pieņemšanā. Objectives: Because of the fluctuating and occasional character of Crohn’s disease (CD), patients have to cope with a changeable condition of health. Personal perceived control is known to be an important element of adaptation to their medical condition. Chemically defended animals often display conspicuous color patterns that predators learn to associate with their unprofitability and subsequently avoid. Such animals (i.e., aposematic), deter predators by stimulating their visual and chemical sensory channels. Hence, aposematism is considered to be “multimodal.” The evolution of warning signals (and to a lesser degree their accompanying chemical defenses) is fundamentally linked to natural selection by predators. This paper describes a research program within Information and Communication Sciences (ISC). This program is based on the understanding of online socialization processes. Particularely, it is focused on rationalization issues for communities forms and rules online. Since the end of the years 2000, this rationalization for online communities is also known as Community Management. We formulate the hypothesis that community management policies spread to whole human activities on the web 2.0, and that community management policies rule the new knowledge mediations.

The main purpose of this study was to explore similarities and differences in the association between two capabilities affecting the cardiorespiratory system (overall and multifactorial cardiorespiratory fitness and inspiratory muscle strength) and the health-related quality of life (HRQoL), in a group of active healthy seniors. Sixty-five individuals (age, 73.01 ± 5.27 years; 53 women) who participated regularly in a multicomponent training program completed the EuroQol 5D-5L questionnaire, the 6-min walking test (6MWT), and the maximum inspiratory pressure test (MIP). The incidence of multiple pregnancy has increased, particularly because of the advances in assisted reproductive technologies. Multiple gestations are high risk pregnancies, especially the monochorionic ones. Two/thirds of initially twin pregnancies result in singles at birth, a condition defined as vanishing twin syndrome. The intrauterine death of one of the twins can cause direct fetal damage to the surviving one on several levels. The paper describes the case of a child born from twin pregnancy that was interrupted for one of the co-twins at early second trimester of gestation who presented with aplasia cutis congenita.
Univariate and multivariate properties of wind velocity time series

We analyze the time series of hourly average wind speeds measured at 29 different stations located in Sicily, a region with a complex morphology. The investigation, performed from the univariate as well as the multivariate point of view, evidences that the statistical properties of wind at the single sites have features that are not reproduced by standard models and, thus, require specific modeling. Moreover, the synchronous evolution of wind velocity presents a cluster structure, obtained with different algorithms, that persists in the standard deviation too.
