The work is presented as a reading tool aimed at analysing the relationship between signifier and signified in the animal metaphors in the orations of Libanius of Antioch. Greek man in animals isolated psychological manifestations in which he recognised his own. A prominent place was occupied by animals 'symbolic' of positive or negative qualities. Several such symbolic figures appear in Libanius' writing: the wolf is an animal-symbol, which emerges above all other animal metaphors due to the variability of its referents (from the governor to members of the claque) .

Structural modification of different carbon-based nanomaterials is often necessary to improve their morphology and optical properties, particularly the incorporation of N-atoms in graphene quantum dots (GQDs). Here, a clean, simple, one-step, and eco-friendly method for N-doping of GQDs using gamma irradiation is reported. GQDs were irradiated in the presence of the different ethylenediamine (EDA) amounts (1 g, 5 g, and 10 g) and the highest % of N was detected in the presence of 10 g. N-doped GQDs emitted strong, blue photoluminescence (PL). The combined therapy of pegylated interferon (IFN) plus ribavirin (RBV) has been for a long time the standard treatment for patients infected with hepatitis C virus (HCV). In the case of genotype 1, only 38%–48% of patients have a positive response to the combined treatment. In previous studies, viral genetic information has been occasionally included as a predictor. Here, we consider viral genetic variation in addition to 11 clinical and 19 viral populations and evolutionary parameters to identify candidate baseline prognostic factors that could be involved in the treatment outcome. Darba autore pētīja privāta testamenta formu, problēmjautājumus un attīstības tendences, konstatējot nepilnības privāta testamenta normatīvajā regulējumā un piedāvājot tām risinājumus. Darbā ir trīs nodaļas. Pirmā nodaļa ir veltīta testamenta jēdzienam. Autore pētīja testamenta jēdziena vēsturisko attīstību, pievēršot uzmanību testamenta pamatpazīmēm.
