This paper presents new data from the reinterpretation of the Cova Negra sequence from a chronological and stratigraphic perspective. The primary aim is to reorder the lithic industry from the excavations of the 1950s in light of the stratigraphic sequence, paying particular attention to raw materials, knapping methods and tools. The reconstruction, carried out from a taphonomic perspective, is specified in sectors B, C and F, and the archaeological levels and the included material are adjusted to the stratigraphic levels. Los estudios conquiológicos nos permiten concluir que Helix zapateri debe ser considerada como una especie válida y designarse como Hatumia zapateri, y que Hatumia pseudogasulli corresponde a un sinónimo posterior de H. zapateri. Además, se designa un epitipo para Sideritis × angustifolia Lag., híbrido sobre cuya identidad ha existido gran controversia, y un lectotipo para Globularia linifolia Lam. Se aportan datos sobre las tiledas ibéricas, que se agrupan en tres asociaciones fitosociológicas dentro de la alianza Tilio-Acerion: Hedero-Tilietum platyphylli (pirenaica y prepirenaica), Helleboro occidentalis-Tilietum platyphylli (orocantábrica) y Ononido aragonensis-Tilietum platyphylli (oroibérica). En el seno de la primera se proponen dos nuevas subasociaciones: la típica, fraxinetosum excelsioris (pirenaica, silicícola, con estratos arbóreo y herbáceo muy ricos), y festucetosum gautieri (prepirenaica, calcícola y más pobre florísticamente), que pretenden explicar algunas variaciones observadas en su área de distribución. Old-timers and newcomers: The shrews and heterosoricids from the Ribesalbes-Alcora Basin (East of Spain)

The zone of Araia d’Alcora in the Ribesalbes-Alcora Basin (Spain, early Miocene, biozone C, MN 4) yielded a relatively rich assemblage of shrews for an Iberian site, composed by Oligosorex thauensis, cf. Soricella discrepans, Paenelimnoecus micromorphus and Heterosorex neumayrianus. The fossils of O. thauensis, the most abundant taxon, significantly increase our knowledge regarding the morphology of the species. It signals the last known occurrence of this shrew and extending its record to a MN4 site. This species is competing with other shrews in the studied sites. International audience; This study aims to evaluate the direct effects of anthropogenic deforestation on simulated climate at two contrasting periods in the Holocene, ∼ 6 and ∼ 0.2 k BP in Eu-rope. As a part of the taxonomical and nomenclatural update of the vascular flora of the Valencian Community, four new nomenclatural combinations and one new subspecies name are proposed in the genera Centaurea, Galium, Knautia, Lepidium and Satureja.

Its original area corresponds to the north-west quarter of the Iberian Peninsula. Secondarily, this area has extended eastward, using mainly the alluvial channels of hydrographic systems (Ríos Douro + Ebro and tributaries), finally reaching the underground waters of several Mediterranean rivers. Abstract The European pond turtle (Emys orbicularis) is a Nearctic element in the African fauna and thought to have invaded North Africa from the Iberian Peninsula. All North African populations are currently identified with the subspecies E. o. occidentalis. However, a nearly range-wide sampling in North Africa used for analyses of mitochondrial and microsatellite DNA provides evidence that only Moroccan populations belong to this taxon, while eastern Algerian and Tunisian pond turtles represent an undescribed distinct subspecies. [EN] Chondrina Reichenbach, 1828 is a highly diverse genus of terrestrial molluscs currently including 44 species with about 28 subspecific taxa. It is distributed through North Africa, central and southern Europe, from Portugal in the West to the Caucasus and Asia Minor in the East. Approximately 70% of the species are endemic to the Iberian Peninsula constituting its main center of speciation with 34 species.
