Homomorphisms between Algebras of Holomorphic Functions

For two complex Banach spaces X and Y, in this paper, we study the generalized spectrum M-b(X,Y) of all nonzero algebra homomorphisms from H-b(X), the algebra of all bounded type entire functions on X into H-b(Y). We endow M-b(X,Y) with a structure of Riemann domain over L(X*,Y*) whenever.. is symmetrically regular. The size of the fibers is also studied. On a class of p-soluble groups

[EN] Let p be a prime. The class of all p-soluble groups G such that every p-chief factor of G is cyclic and all p-chief factors of G are G-isomorphic is studied in this paper. Some results on T-, PT-, and PST -groups are also obtained.

Further results on generalized centro-invertible matrices

[EN] This paper deals with generalized centro-invertible matrices introduced by the authors in Lebtahi et al. (Appl. Math. Lett. 38, 106¿109, 2014). As a first result, we state the coordinability between the classes of involutory matrices, generalized centro-invertible matrices, and {K}-centrosymmetric matrices. Then, some characterizations of generalized centro-invertible matrices are obtained. A spectral study of generalized centro-invertible matrices is given. In addition, we prove that the sign of a generalized centro-invertible matrix is {K}-centrosymmetric and that the class of generalized centro-invertible matrices is closed under the matrix sign function. Mean ergodic composition operators on Banach spaces of holomorphic functions

[EN] Given a symbol cc, i.e., a holomorphic endomorphism of the unit disc, we consider the composition operator C-phi(f) = f circle phi defined on the Banach spaces of holomorphic functions A(D) and H-infinity(D). We obtain different conditions on the symbol phi which characterize when the composition operator is mean ergodic and uniformly mean ergodic in the corresponding spaces. These conditions are related to the asymptotic behavior of the iterates of the symbol. Finally, we deal with some particular case in the setting of weighted Banach spaces of holomorphic functions.

On finite minimal non-nilpotent groups

[EN] A critical group for a class of groups X is a minimal non-X-group. The critical groups are determined for various classes of finite groups. As a consequence, a classification of the minimal non-nilpotent groups (also called Schmidt groups) is given, together with a complete proof of Gol¿fand¿s theorem on maximal Schmidt groups.

Formations of Monoids, Congruences, and Formal Languages

2015

The main goal in this paper is to use a dual equivalence in automata theory started in [25] and developed in [3] to prove a general version of the Eilenberg-type theorem presented in [4]. Our principal results confirm the existence of a bijective correspondence between three concepts; formations of monoids, formations of languages and formations of congruences. The result does not require finiteness on monoids, nor regularity on languages nor finite index conditions on congruences. We relate our work to other results in the field and we include applications to non-r-disjunctive languages, Reiterman s equational description of pseudovarieties and varieties of monoids.

A generalization to Sylow permutability of pronormal subgroups of finite groups

2020

[EN] In this note, we present a new subgroup embedding property that can be considered as an analogue of pronormality in the scope of permutability and Sylow permutability in finite groups. We prove that finite PST-groups, or groups in which Sylow permutability is a transitive relation, can be characterized in terms of this property, in a similar way as T-groups, or groups in which normality is transitive, can be characterized in terms of pronormality.

On $p$-Dunford integrable functions with values in Banach spaces

[EN] Let (Omega, Sigma, mu) be a complete probability space, X a Banach space and 1 X. Special attention is paid to the compactness of the Dunford operator of f. We also study the p-Bochner integrability of the composition u o f: Omega->Y , where u is a p-summing operator from X to another Banach space Y . Finally, we also provide some tests of p-Dunford integrability by using w*-thick subsets of X¿.

Frames and representing systems in Fréchet spaces and their duals

[EN] Frames and Bessel sequences in Fr\'echet spaces and their duals are defined and studied. Their relation with Schauder frames and representing systems is analyzed. The abstract results presented here, when applied to concrete spaces of analytic functions, give many examples and consequences about sampling sets and Dirichlet series expansions.
