In this paper we conceptualize formative peer feedback principles by analyzing and comparing six empirical examples of formative peer feedback in a set of international STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) contexts. By discussing how these different approaches to peer feedback unfold in practice, we aim to facilitate the bridging of the gap between theory and practice in implementing peer feedback in Higher Education. In this article, the research topic is to develop an evaluation model for social work with substance abusers. It is studied by presenting an example of how the evaluation process could be carried out in practice. The study has been implemented with the Department of Social Services and Health Care’s Centre for Recovering Substance Abusers in Finland (RSA Centre). The term “evaluation model” refers to a way of collecting client follow-up information and the way the information is used to develop social work practices. Expertise-by-Experience in Child and Family Services : Professionals' Perspectives on Experiential Knowledge

This study analyses child and family service professionals' perceptions of expertise-by-experience. Group and individual interviews with professionals were analysed. The analysis yielded three main dimensions of experiential knowledge: supportive peer knowledge; contested knowledge, in which education and talking among peers in small groups helps experts-by-experience to locate the limits of their knowledge before publicly disclosing their inner thoughts; and emotional knowledge, which is based on shared experiences of emotional challenges and vulnerability. Melnā mušķērāja Ficedula hypoleuca un lielās zīlītes Parus major ligzdošanas vietu izvēli noteicošie faktori mežos ar mākslīgajām ligzdvietām

Līdz šim veiktajos, publiski pieejamos pētījumos secināts, ka lielā zīlīte Parus major labprātāk izvēlas ligzdot lapu koku nevis skujkoku audzēs. Tikmēr melnā mušķērāja Ficedula hypoleuca sastopamība atkarīga no mākslīgo ligzdvietu izvietojuma daudzuma. Pamatojoties uz šo informāciju, tika izvirzīts pieņēmums, ka lielās zīlītes ligzdvietas izvēlē būtiska ietekme ir apkārt esošajai veģetācijai, bet melnā mušķērāja izvēlē – mākslīgo ligzdvietu skaitam. Par darba mērķi tika uzstādīts noskaidrot lielās zīlītes un melnā mušķērāja ligzdošanas vietu izvēli noteicošos faktorus mežos ar mākslīgajām ligzdvietām. Pētījuma veikšanai izvēlēti divi pētījuma apvidi, kuros izvietotas mākslīgās ligzdvietas.…
