La lagenaria (Lagenaria siceraria (Molina) Standl.) è una cucurbitacea conosciuta da più di 15000 anni per la commestibilità dei frutti immaturi e dei germogli ma anche per le proprietà medicinali e per i diversi utilizzi cui può essere destinato il frutto maturo. Seppure la coltivazione della Lagenaria è ampiamente diffusa in Asia, in Europa, e nei paesi occidentali in genere, il suo utilizzo è limitato ad alcune zone circoscritte nelle quali riscuote l’apprezzamento dei consumatori. Abstract This paper investigates the relations between female leadership, firm performance, and corporate governance in a global panel of 329 Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) in 73 countries covering the years 1998–2008. The microfinance industry is particularly suited for studying the impact of female leadership on governance and performance because of its mission orientation, its entrepreneurial nature, diverse institutional conditions, and high percentage of female leaders. This note comes from a not recent research on the catalogues of ‘Vatican Wall’ about Cicero’s Tusculanae disputationes in the codes of 16th-18th centuries. Now it has been reviewed and increased with the help of special staff in the various libraries. It hasn’t got particular suggestions about the ciceronian text or other things, but it is a way for the scholars who want to proceed and evaluate specifically provided elements from it.

The volume that sees the light today is the fruit of the Study Day on "Lilibeo at the time of Cicero" held in Marsala, in the conference room of the Museo Lilibeo, on 3 May 2019 thanks to the joint effort of the Museum and the Culture and Society Department of the University of Palermo. In the short term, important changes in the council organizational structure, they led to the establishment of the Archaeological Park of Lilibeo including in a unitary structure the Lilibeo Regional Archaeological Museum, the archaeological area of Capo Boeo, which represents the main nucleus, and other state-owned archaeological areas of the urban fabric of Marsala.
