Autofiction oulipienne: l'écriture au miroir

2010

Soglie narrative e fotografiche in “Leggenda privata” di Michele Mari

2018

The aim of the paper is to analyze the narrative and photographic thresholds of Leggenda privata by Michele Mari (2017). The first case is a rhetorical artifice, a horror-gothic-fantastic narrative threshold, that Mari creates to distinguish the present of writing from the past of memories, intended, as I will try to demonstrate, to problematize the crucial questions of autobiography: incipit and explicit of the narration, literature and bios, fiction and non-fiction. Mari adds another expedient to this one: the inclusion of family photographs, selected from his personal archive, and that, for the variety of their authors, reveal another threshold, that between the writer and the photograph…

Philippe Vilain, des essais aux fictions pensives : transactions et complémentarité

2023

This article explores how in Vilain essayist "fictions pensives" produce fictional and reflexive enlargements of his thought, by demonstrating the writer's ability to seize his ordinary experience to transform it into a literary object as well as a structured thought.

Predictability decomposition detects the impairment of brain-heart dynamical networks during sleep disorders and their recovery with treatment

2016

This work introduces a framework to study the network formed by the autonomic component of heart rate variability (cardiac process η ) and the amplitude of the different electroencephalographic waves (brain processes δ , θ , α , σ , β ) during sleep. The framework exploits multivariate linear models to decompose the predictability of any given target process into measures of self-, causal and interaction predictability reflecting respectively the information retained in the process and related to its physiological complexity, the information transferred from the other source processes, and the information modified during the transfer according to redundant or synergistic interaction betwee…

Persistence of C-reactive protein increased levels and high disease activity are predictors of cardiovascular disease in patients with axial spondylo…

2022

AbstractAn accurate prediction of cardiovascular (CV) risk in patients with Axial Spondyloarthritis (axSpA) is a strong unmet need, as CV risk algorithms poorly perform in these subjects. The aim of this study was to establish whether the persistence of high C-reactive protein (CRP) and high disease activity may be considered predictive factors of CVD in axSpA. 295 patients without personal history of CVD, were consecutively enrolled in this study. To evaluate the relationship between CV events occurrence (fatal and non-fatal) and the persistence of increased CRP levels, ASDAS (Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Score) > 2.1, and BASDAI (Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity)…

Aymara Collection of Geraldine Quartararo

2020

The contents of this collection pertain to Aymara, an indigenous language spoken in the Andean Plateau. The data included in this collection were gathered for the purpose of investigating evidentiality. The collection comprises 15 recordings, which have been categorized into three distinct groups. The first group encompasses audio recordings, transcriptions, and corresponding translations of the semi-structured task entitled "Family Problems Pictures." The second group consists of audio recordings, transcriptions, and relative translations of another semi-structured task called the "Pear Story." Lastly, the third group contains audio recordings, transcriptions, and relative translations of …

Chromosome numbers in plant taxa endemic to the Balearic Islands

2005

Mitotic chromosome numbers are reported from 20 vascular plant taxa that are endemic to the Balearic Islands and poorly known cytogenetically. The chromosome numbers of Arenaria grandiflora L. ssp. glabrescens (Willk.) G. Lopez & Nieto Feliner (2n = 44), Dianthus rupicola Viv. ssp. bocchoriana L. Llorens & Gradaille (2n = 30), Solenopsis minuta (L.) C. Presl. ssp. balearica (E. Wimm.) Meikle (2n = 28), Romulea asumptionis Font Quer & Garcias Font (2n = 56), Scutellaria balearica Barcelo (2n = 22) and Galium balearicum Briq. (2n = 22) have been determined for the first time. A new chromosome number was found in two populations of Helictotrichon crassifolium (Font Quer) Holub (2n = c. 98) sug…

Observation of an Excited $B^{\pm}_c$ Meson State with the ATLAS Detector

2014

A search for excited states of the B±c meson is performed using 4.9 fb-1 of 7 TeV and 19.2 fb-1 of 8 TeV pp collision data collected by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC. A new state is observed through its hadronic transition to the ground state, with the latter detected in the decay B±c→J/ψπ±. The state appears in the m(Bc±π+π-)-m(Bc±)-2m(π±) mass difference distribution with a significance of 5.2 standard deviations. The mass of the observed state is 6842±4±5 MeV, where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. The mass and decay of this state are consistent with expectations for the second S-wave state of the B±c meson, B±c(2S).

11,12-EET Stimulates the Association of BK Channel α and β1 Subunits in Mitochondria to Induce Pulmonary Vasoconstriction

2012

In the systemic circulation, 11,12-epoxyeicosatrienoic acid (11,12-EET) elicits nitric oxide (NO)- and prostacyclin-independent vascular relaxation, partially through the activation of large conductance Ca(2+)-activated potassium (BK) channels. However, in the lung 11,12-EET contributes to hypoxia-induced pulmonary vasoconstriction. Since pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells also express BK channels, we assessed the consequences of BKβ(1) subunit deletion on pulmonary responsiveness to 11,12-EET as well as to acute hypoxia. In buffer-perfused mouse lungs, hypoxia increased pulmonary artery pressure and this was significantly enhanced in the presence of NO synthase (NOS) and cyclooxygenase (…
