Social exclusion of young people is a major socio-economic challenge all over Europe. This paper discusses the development and use of ICT applications to tackle the problem. The paper begins with a review to existing research on the possibilities of the ICT in social inclusion of young people. Secondly, as a way forward, a multidisciplinary approach is suggested, which would combine perspectives from social sciences, information systems, human-computer interaction, information technology and electronic commerce. Volume preserving mean curvature flows near strictly stable sets in flat torus

In this paper we establish a new stability result for the smooth volume preserving mean curvature flow in flat torus $\mathbb T^n$ in low dimensions $n=3,4$. The result says roughly that if the initial set is near to a strictly stable set in $\mathbb T^n$ in $H^3$-sense, then the corresponding flow has infinite lifetime and converges exponentially fast to a translate of the strictly stable (critical) set in $W^{2,5}$-sense.

Online shopping addiction can be defined as an Internet-based behavioural addiction which may lead to economic problems. Even though shopping is increasingly common through mobile devices, the effects of smartphone use on online shopping addiction are underexamined. Following a survey of 1000 18 to 29-year-olds in Finland, we examined young adults' online shopping addiction and economic problems from the perspective of self-regulation and problems in regulating smartphone use. Oral and dental health of Italian drug addicted in methadone treatment

Objectives: Our group recorded the characteristic of oro-dental health among a group of drug addicts in recovery treatment with methadone, and it evaluated the changes related to the withdrawal therapy. Methodology: A sample of 50 drug addicts in treatment with methadone was included in this study. At the beginning of the withdrawal therapy, the authors recorded the parameters involved in the most common oral diseases. Moreover, it was evaluated how, during the rehabilitation protocol, the behavioral parameters and the xerostomia that influence the oral health changed. Intron variants of the p53 gene are associated with increased risk for ovarian cancer but not in carriers of BRCA1 or BRCA2 germline mutations

Two biallelic polymorphisms in introns 3 and 6 of the p53 gene were analysed for a possible risk-modifying effect for ovarian cancer. Germline DNA was genotyped from 310 German Caucasian ovarian cancer patients and 364 healthy controls. We also typed 124 affected and 276 unaffected female carriers with known deleterious BRCA1 or BRCA2 germline mutation from high-risk breast-ovarian cancer families. Genotyping was based on PCR and high-resolution gel electrophoresis. W artykule śledzę taktyki przywoływania (i unikania) wcześniejszych nazw współczesnego Wrocławia jako elementu tworzenia jego dziedzictwa kulturowego. Na przykładzie opracowań historycznych i wykorzystując metodę analizy dyskursu, pokazuję mechanizmy kreowania różnie akcentowanych przeszłości miasta. Opierając się na użyciu nazwy historycznej (na przykład Breslau) czy konsekwentnie tylko współczesnej (Wrocław), wskazuję, że za strategią wyboru nazwy stoją odmienne, ideologicznie uwarunkowane, narracje. El impacto de la política de visados sobre los flujos internacionales de turistas: Un análisis con datos de panel

Using newly panel data on visa restrictions for the years 2000 and 2010 in a theory-grounded gravity model, we find a robust, causal negative impact of visa restrictions on international tourist flows. By destination, the detrimental impact of this type of barrier is observed for tourists going to developing countries (with the exception of East and South Asia), but not for those to developed ones. By country of origin of tourists, the impact of visa restrictions appears to be the same for tourists coming from developed and developing countries. These findings have important consequences in policy terms for tourism management at a regional level.
Niegodziwi pasterze i Dobry Pasterz Ez 34 w świetle retoryki hebrajskiej

Kontekstem podjętych badań było odmienne opisywanie struktury tekstu Ez 34 przez różnych komentatorów Księgi Ezechiela. Celem badań było odkrycie struktury, którą starożytny autor zaplanował i zapisał. Zastosowano metodę retoryki hebrajskiej, którą opracował Roland Meynet. Osiągnięto następujące wyniki badań: fragment Ez 34,1-10 ma strukturę paralelno-koncentryczną o schemacie: A, B, C, B’, A’. Fragment Ez 34,11-31 też ma strukturę paralelno-koncentryczną o takim samym schemacie. Wniosek, jaki można wyciągnąć z badanego tekstu, sprowadza się do stwierdzenia, że Księga Ezechiela jest aktualna dzisiaj.
