This case study presents the results of an interdisciplinary Virtual Exchange (VE) that was arranged between Finnish and Polish students in 2019. During their six-week collaboration, the students of language studies at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, worked in teams together with their Polish peers specialising in information and communications technology and management in tourism at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland. Vitamin D is a fat-soluble secosteroid, traditionally considered a key regulator of bone metabolism, calcium and phosphorous homeostasis. Its action is made possible through the binding to the vitamin D receptor (VDR), after which it directly and indirectly modulates the expression of thousands of genes. Vitamin D is important for brain development, mature brain activity and associated with many neurological diseases, including Parkinson’s disease (PD). Triciklisko 1,4-dihidropiridīna atvasinājumu un cilvēka telomērisko guanīna kvadrupleksu mijiedarbība

Pēdējos gados tiek pievērsta lielāka uzmanība savienojumiem, kuriem piemīt spēja mijiedarboties ar netipiskām DNS struktūrām – guanīna kvadrupleksiem. Šī pētījuma darba mērķis bija izpētīt triciklisko 1,4-dihidropiridīna atvasinājumu (PP-544-NH4, PP-544-Na, PP-150-Na un B-5-Na) spēju mijiedarboties ar telomēras guanīna antiparalēlām un hibrīdformas kvadrupleksiem, kā arī spēju mijiedarboties ar vienpavediena DNS formu. Rezultātu iegūšanai tika izmantotas spektroskopijas metodes. Influence of the structures of ionic liquids on Hantzsch ester synthesis

Maģistra darbā pētīta sakarība starp jonu šķidrumu struktūrām un Hanča estera sintēžu iznākumiem, tās veicot šajos jonu šķidrumos un lietojot urotropīnu kā reaģentu amonjaka un formaldehīda vietā. Sintezēti un raksturoti piecpadsmit šim pētījumam vajadzīgie jonu šķidrumi. Tie satur katjonus un anjonus ar mērķtiecīgi izmainītām struktūrām, lai varētu novērtēt šo jonu šķidrumu hidrofobo, ūdeņraža saišu donora-akceptora un elektrostatisko ietekmi uz pētīto Hanča estera sintēzes rezultātu. Šajā pētījumā ir salīdzināti alifātiskie un aromātiskie katjoni un anjoni, kā arī apspriesta jonu šķidrumu katalītiskā iedarbība salīdzinājumā ar to šķīdinātāja efektu.
