Kaupunki esteettisten kokemusten paikkoina : arkkitehtuurikasvatuksen tarkastelua kokijakeskeisen ympäristöestetiikan näkökulmasta

Tässä Pro Gradu tutkielmassa tarkastellaan arkkitehtuurikasvatusta kokijakeskeisen ympäristöestetiikan näkökulmasta. Lisäksi tuon esille humanistisen maantieteen ja ympäristöpsykologian näkökulmia aihealueen tarkastelussa. Hahmottelen yleistä kuvaa siitä, mitä Suomessa toteutettava arkkitehtuurikasvatus pitää sisällään. Tutkimus on laadullinen ja teorialähtöinen ja sen tavoitteena on tuoda arkkitehtuurikasvatukseen uudenlaista näkökulmaa, jossa rakennettua ympäristöä lähestytään kokijan näkökulmasta ja sen esteettisiä laatupiirteitä huomioiden. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on kartoittaa yksilön ympäristövastuullisten valintojen reunaehtoja, rajoitteita ja kannustimia yksilön omien kertomusten kautta. Lisäksi tavoitteena on valottaa yksilön elämänpoliittista toimijuutta ympäristövastuullisuuden suhteen. Teoriatausta rakentuu riskiyhteiskuntateorian, elämäntapa- ja elämänpolitiikkatutkimuksen, sekä yksilön ympäristöpoliittisuutta käsittelevän teoretisoinnin ympärille, ja teorian ja aineiston avulla pyritään rakentamaan ja syventämään kuvaa yksilön ympäristöelämänpoliittisuudesta. Tutkimuksen aiheena on ympäristötekijöiden käyttö kodintekniikkaa myyvien yritysten mainonnassa Helsingin Itäkeskuksen alueella. Aineistona käytetään yritysten sanomalehti- ja suorajakomainoksia ja niiden Internet-kotisivuja. Tutkimusote on kvalitatiivinen ja aineisto tyypitellään puolistrukturoidulla lomakkeella. Tutkimuksessa pyrittiin selvittämään ympäristöargumenttien lisäksi sitä, ovatko yritykset siirtyneet perinteisen markkinointimixin keinoista kohti kokonaisvaltaisempaa ja enemmän kuluttajanäkökulmasta asioita tarkastelevaa markkinointinäkökulmaa. Moral Orders of Mobility: Youth Aspirations and ‘Doing’ Social Position in Finland

By studying the moral orders that young Finnish adults (aged 18–30) attach to geographical mobility, this article reveals previously neglected relationships between aspiration and mobility. The 40 young adult interviewees are living in the midst of Finnish political debates about youth aspiration, which emphasise geographical rather than social mobility as a way to enhance employability and demonstrate aspiration. We argue that young people themselves use the discourse of geographical mobility by leaning on morally ordered social positionings which tend to be classed and gendered. Background The World Health Organization (WHO) has developed guidelines for 24-h physical activity (PA), sedentary behaviour and sleep for young children. Lower socioeconomic status (SES) has been linked to a lower likelihood of meeting these guidelines. The outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) raised concerns about young children’s opportunities to meet the guidelines. This study explores young children’s possibilities for influence in situations of child–educator disagreement in Finnish early childhood education and care (ECEC). Data were gathered from observations conducted in four ECEC groups of under three year-olds. A total of 112 child–educator disagreements were analysed qualitatively using reflexive thematic analysis. Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan, kuinka pienten lasten osallisuus toteutuu vuorohoidon iltojen vuorovaikutustilanteissa ja millaisia haasteita tähän liittyy. Aineisto kerättiin havainnoimalla 20–36 kk ikäisten lasten iltoja kahdessa erilaisessa vuoropäiväkodissa. Temaattisen analyysin perustana toimivat Lundyn (2007) kuvaamat, Yhdistyneiden Kansakuntien (YK) lapsen oikeuksien sopimuksen artiklaan 12 pohjautuvat lasten osallisuuden edellytykset. There is consensus in health studies that regular physical activities of sufficient intensity and duration contribute to better health both in the short and long term. In an ongoing research program, we focus on getting the young elderly, the 60-75 years age group, to adopt and include physical activities as part of their daily routines. One reason for addressing young elderly is large numbers – in Finland health care costs for the elderly was 3.7 B€ in 2019 and will increase dramatically if the young elderly group is in bad shape when they reach the 75+ age group.
