Kopalnia Soli „Wieliczka” jest obiektem sztucznie stworzonym przez człowieka, dawniej eksploatowanym, obecnie intensywnie odwiedzanym. Dzięki kopalni powstała nowa nisza ekologiczna, którą zaczęły zasiedlać troglofilne organizmy żywe. Jednymi z ciekawszych zwierząt żyjących w tej kopalni są chrząszcze Niptus hololeucus. Naturalnie występują w miejscach niezwiązanych z solnymi systemami podziemnymi, jednak zawleczone przystosowały się do troglobiontycznego trybu życia. The study of moral judgements often centres on moral dilemmas in which options consistent with deontological perspectives (that is, emphasizing rules, individual rights and duties) are in conflict with options consistent with utilitarian judgements (that is, following the greater good based on consequences). Greene et al. (2009) showed that psychological and situational factors (for example, the intent of the agent or the presence of physical contact between the agent and the victim) can play an important role in moral dilemma judgements (for example, the trolley problem). The process of envisioning the future is central to teachers’ identity construction, but different environments create distinct sociocultural conditions for the process. This qualitative study drawing on visual-textual methods compares Finnish and Brazilian student teachers’ desired and feared professional futures. Two different perspectives on future identities were detected: a desire for status and a desire for meaningfulness. The results revealed the radically different social status of teaching in the two countries and the role this played in the envisioned identities. L’articolo descrive il quartiere della Petite Sicile a Tunisi, in prossimità del lago El Bahira, luogo di migrazione di siciliani sfrattati dalla Medina alla fine dell’800. Il primo quartiere viene costruito sul prosciugamento di una laguna, fatto per alloggiare in baracche e casette gli italiani provenienti da Genova, dalla Toscana, dalla Sicilia e dalla Calabria, che costruirono le case del quartiere in prossimità del porto. Teacher emotional support in relation to social competence in preschool classrooms

The present study aimed to investigate the associations between teachers’ observed emotional support and social competence among Finnish pre-schoolers (6-year-olds). The quality of emotional support was observed using the Classroom Assessment Scoring System Pre-K in 47 preschool classrooms twice across the preschool year. Teachers rated children’s social competence in autumn and again in spring, using the Multisource Assessment of Social Competence Scale (MASCS), which produced sum scores for cooperating skills, empathy, impulsivity, and disruptiveness.
