El presente trabajo parte de un estudio general sobre el desarrollo de los principales tipos iconográficos conceptuales de la Virgen en la Edad Media, que conforma la primera parte del mismo. Estos se han clasificado en dos grandes apartados: los que se fundamentan en la maternidad divina de María y los que tienen como objeto su glorificación. En el primer caso, se encuentra la Virgen sedente en majestad o Trono de Sabiduría, la Virgen como conductora, la Virgen de Ternura, la Virgen de la Leche y la Virgen de la Humildad, mientras que pertenecen al segundo el tipo de Maria Regina y Cristo Niño coronando a su madre. El prestigio de la "Ciutat" de Valencia en tiempos de crisis: las andas e imagen de San Vicente Ferrer

El presente trabajo estudia lo que supuso el encargo, por parte de la Ciutat de Valéncia, de las andas, peana e imagen de san Vicente Ferrer a tres afamados pla teros de principios del XVII. La comisión de estas obras es exponente del prestigio de la Ciutat en un momento de crisis profunda, tanto económica como social. Se trataba de un espléndido conjunto en plata blanca y dorada, con aplicación de numerosos esmaltes, cuyo coste ascendió a casi cinco mil libras. Las andas, peana e imagen de san Vicente Ferrer eran un símbolo, rico y suntuoso, de la Ciutat, que era visto, ario tras año, en las diferentes procesiones que tenían lugar en la ciudad del Turia. Imagined Identities and Communities in the Learning Context of Finnish as a Second Language

This case study on two migrant pupils of Finnish as L2 was carried out in Finland, which lies outside the most common context of such research, i.e. ESL or EFL in an English-speaking country. The study thus attempts to address the need to expand the research contexts of L2 identity issues. Using ethnographic data collected inside and outside a preparatory language classroom, this study aims to examine how the pupils make sense of their new learning environment and how, through language learning, they construct identities.
