Abstract To date, molecular descriptors do not commonly account for important information beyond chemical structure. The present work, attempts to extend, in this sense, the stochastic molecular descriptors (Gonzalez-Diaz, H. et al., J. Mol. Mod. 2002, 8, 237), incorporating information about the specific biphasic partition system, the biological species, and chemical structure inside the molecular descriptors. New tyrosinase inhibitors selected by atomic linear indices-based classification models.

In the present report, the use of the atom-based linear indices for finding functions that discriminate between the tyrosinase inhibitor compounds and inactive ones is presented. In this sense, discriminant models were applied and globally good classifications of 93.51% and 92.46% were observed for non-stochastic and stochastic linear indices best models, respectively, in the training set. The external prediction sets had accuracies of 91.67% and 89.44%. In addition, these fitted models were used in the screening of new cycloartane compounds isolated from herbal plants. Manifestation of Curie-Weiss law for optical phase transition

Considerable slowing down is observed for both the temporal development of the coherent oscillation slightly above the threshold and the refractive index grating decay slightly below the threshold for a semilinear photorefractive oscillator with two counter-propagating pump waves. It is shown that in the vicinity of the threshold the reciprocal characteristic time is a linear function of deviation from the threshold coupling strength. This behaviour is similar to an empirical Curie–Weiss law and points to the analogy of the oscillation threshold to a second-order phase transition.

Parametric self-trapping in the presence of randomized quasi phase matching

We report on experimental evidence of parametric spatial solitons in a quadratic crystal with randomized periodic ferroelectric poling. Two-color self-focusing via quadratic cascading overcomes the diffractive nature of both fundamental and frequency-doubled beams.

Mirror exposure (ME) is one of the main components of the treatment of patients with eating disorders symptomatology and it has shown its effectiveness in improving several outcomes (e.g., body dissatisfaction). Introducción: La obesidad infantil está alcanzando cifras muy elevadas entre la población infantil española favoreciendo la obesidad en la edad adulta. El objetivo del presente estudio es conocer el estado nutricional de estudiantes de seis colegios de la provincia de Valencia y su grado de adhesión a la Dieta Mediterránea (DM).Material y métodos: Estudio transversal en el que participaron 777 estudiantes, 49,9% eran chicos y 50,1% chicas con edades comprendidas entre 8 y 16 años.
