A holistic perspective on the theoretical foundations for ICT4D research

While many theories have guided research Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D), we are yet to construct a clear and coherent narrative that would help us answer the question of how ICT fosters development in underdeveloped communities. In this paper, we argue that one of the main reasons for this is that our holistic understanding of ICT4D is seldom grounded in theories to understand the core areas that define the field, namely, ICT, Development, and, ‘4’ which are the transformative processes that link the two. Tämän pro gradu -tutkielman tarkoituksena oli selvittää, kehittyikö yliopistossa ruotsia opiskelevien ruotsinruotsalainen vokaaliääntämys kuuden viikon mittaisen ääntämiskurssin aikana. Tutkimukseen osallistui kuusi ruotsinopiskelijaa sekä verrokkiryhmä, neljä syntyperäistä ruotsalaista. Tutkimusaineisto koostui ruotsinkielisistä lauseista, jotka luettiin nauhalle kielistudiossa kurssin alussa ja lopussa. Lisäksi kurssin alussa luettiin nauhalle suomenkielisiä lauseita vokaalien vertailua varten. Aineisto analysointiin akustisesti auditiivisia havaintoja tukena käyttäen. Nuclear astrophysics aims to understand the origin of elements and the role of nuclear processes in astrophysical events. Nuclear reactions and reaction rates depend strongly on nuclear properties and on the astrophysical environment. Nuclear inputs for stellar reaction rates involve a variety of nuclear properties, theoretical models, and experimental data. Kahden atomin, joiden massaluku on alle 60, yhdistymistä yhdeksi atomiksi kutsutaan fuusioksi. Tämän ydinreaktion seurauksena vapautuu valtavasti energiaa ja sen valjastamista ihmiselle hyödyllisen muotoon on tutkittu yli 50 vuoden ajan. Darījumu inteliģences sistēma finanšu atskaitēm FINREP formātā

Maģistra darbā ir izskatītas FINREP (Financial Reporting) finanšu datu atskaišu standarta pielāgošanas iespējas darījumu inteliģences sistēmām. FINREP standartu izstrādāja Eiropas Banku iestāde, to izmantošana ir reglamentēta Eiropas Savienības kredītiestādēm, kas atbilst noteiktām prasībām. Maģistra darba mērķis ir izpētīt FINREP finanšu atskaišu veidošanas iespējas Oracle Hyperion Financial Management maksas rīkā, kā arī izpētīt pieejamos atvērtā koda darījumu inteliģences risinājumus. Izvēloties vienu no atvērtā koda sistēmām, izpētīt to pielāgošanas iespējas FINREP atskaitēm, secinot vai ir iespējams panākt līdzīgo funkcionalitāti kā Oracle Hyperion rīkā.
