Stochastic resonance effect on the vibratory signals of stink bugs

In this work we investigate the role of the environmental noise in the sexual communication between individuals of the Sicilian green stink bug Nezara Viridula. Our goal is to analyze the spectral features of several types of songs emitted by these insects and to find the amplitude threshold value. Below this value the signal is so weak that no neuronal activation occurs in Nezara Viridula. The presence of activation is revealed by performing directionality tests and observing the behavioral response of the insect in localizing the source of vibratory signals. Structure-based evaluation of the resonance interactions and effectiveness of the charge transfer in nitroamines

Structural data for five nitroamines of general formula Me₂N–G–NO₂ show effectiveness of the ground-state charge transfer to be most and least efficient in N,N-dimethylnitramine and in 4-N,N-dimethylamino-β-nitrostyrene, respectively. Electron-donor power of the amino nitrogen atom in the latter compound is less than that in 4-nitro-β-N,N-dimethylaminostyrene (these two compounds are isomers). Natural population analysis shows that the charge transfer from the amino to the nitro oxygen atoms is most effective in N,N-dimethylnitramine, Me₂N–NO₂. This paper discusses and evaluates the application of a social psychologically enriched, user-centered approach to agent architecture design. The major aim is to facilitate human–agent interaction (HAI) by making agents not only algorithmically more intelligent but also socially more skillful in communicating with the user. A decision-making model and communicative argumentation strategies have been incorporated into the agent architecture. Laser induced ultrafast H2+ dinamic and attosecond generation

We examine the possibility that a H2+ molecular ion driven by a linearly polarized laser field can be considered as a source of attosecond pulses. The emisseion is investigated taking into account the role of the internuclear distance and by changing the angle between the laser field and the molecular axis. We find that the attosecond pulses emission happens when the electron cloud is over one nucleus; on the contrary, when the elctron is travelling between the two nuclei the attosecond emission do not take place.
