Antécédents et conséquences de l'intrusion publicitaire perçue sur internet : le cas des formes publicitaires

2013

This research explores the relations between the format of advertising and perceived intrusion and tries to understand the consequences on attitudinal responses and on behaviour intentions of the Internet user, in particular in terms of resistance. The advertising intrusion is envisaged as a negative perception which could be activated by formats. The first part of this work is to understand the impact of perceived advertising intrusion, the second part is to operationalize the concept and test the research model. The study of the consequences of the use of ad formats allows reporting their influence on the advertising intrusion but also on the attitude towards the format and towards the ad.…

Smart Grid Security: A new Approach to Detect Intruders in a Smart Grid Neighborhood Area Network

2016

International audience; In this paper, we propose an efficient and lightweight attack detection mechanism for a smart grid Neighborhood Area Network (NAN) that combine between distributed and centralized intrusion detection. A NAN includes the customers' appliances, smart meters and collectors. The smart meters measure the power consumption of each appliance and the collectors aggregate the measures and forward them to the control center for analysis. Intrusion Detection System (IDS) agents, proposed in our framework, run in a distributed fashion at smart meters level and in a centralized fashion at collector and control center nodes. A combination between a rule-based detection and a learn…

Liquid intrusion and alternative methods for the characterization of macroporous materials (IUPAC Technical Report)

2011

This document deals with the characterization of porous materials having pore widths in the macropore range of 50 nm to 500 μm. In recent years, the development of advanced adsorbents and catalysts (e.g., monoliths having hierarchical pore networks) has brought about a renewed interest in macropore structures. Mercury intrusion–extrusion porosimetry is a well-established method, which is at present the most widely used for determining the macropore size distribution. However, because of the reservations raised by the use of mercury, it is now evident that the principles involved in the application of mercury porosimetry require reappraisal and that alternative methods are worth being listed…

U-Pb data on zircons for the thermal peak of metamorphism in the Variscan Odenwald, Germany

1995

U-Pb data are presented for zircons from metamorphic rocks of the crystalline Odenwald that comprises part of the Mid-German Crystalline Rise. The Odenwald can be divided into four principal domains with different magmatic and metamorphic histories on the basis of published structural and petrological data and the presented ages. In the eastern (Boll-stein) Odenwald the metasedimentary rocks contain zircons derived from basement rocks that exceed 2.2 Ga in age. The intrusion of granitic magmas into these metasedimentary rocks took place before or close to the end of the thermal peak of metamorphism at 375 ± 5 Ma ago. Rapid uplift of the Bollstein Odenwald occurred at about 320 Ma bp, later …

Interpretation of Structures and Fabrics Recognition and Interpretation of Fabric Patterns in Outcrop

1990

High-grade gneisses with a long and complex history have a finite ‘memory’ of past events. This memory is formed by fabric elements such as foliations, lineations, folds, mineral assemblages, boudins and sequences of intrusion. One of the aims of a geologist is to tap this memory as effectively as possible. The memory of rocks, however, is rather inadequate in that it is partly destroyed by the same events which produce the fabric elements that are recorded (Williams, 1983). Strong deformation erases older fabric elements; intrusions, recrystallisation and partial melting do the same (Figs. 1.1; 4.1). One of the purposes of this manual is to help geologists working in high-grade gneiss terr…

Chromatic-achromatic perimetry in four clinic cases: Glaucoma and diabetes

2015

Color perimetry has interesting clinical application for the diagnosis and detection of certain eye conditions, due to the variations that certain diseases can cause in chromatic thresholds, both in the red-green (RG) and the blue-yellow (BY) pathways.[1,2,3,4] The separate study of the visual function of both the chromatic and achromatic mechanisms could be more efficient in detecting sensitivity variations, and such variations would not be obscured by the intrusion of other mechanisms. Currently, the supply of conventional perimeters that are capable of performing a chromatic perimetry test is very limited and with reduced options regarding the possibility of choosing the physical charact…

Improved hydrophobicity of inorganic–organic hybrid mesoporous silica with cage-like pores

2013

International audience; Hydrophobic ordered mesoporous silica particles with cage-like pores (SBA-1 type) were prepared through co-condensation of phenyltriethoxysilane (PhTES) and tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) at different TEOS/PhTES molar ratios. It is shown that the hydrophobic character of the particles is enhanced by increasing the phenyl loading (decreasing the TEOS/PhTES molar ratio) and that it could be further enhanced by subsequent trimethylsilyl (TMS) grafting on remaining silanol groups (TMS-PhSBA-1 sample). This increase of hydrophobicity has been evidenced on the internal surface (mesoporosity) of the particles using water adsorption and, on the external surface of the partic…

Study And Monitoring Of Salt Water Intrusion In The Coastal Area Between Mazara Del Vallo And Marsala (South-Western Sicily)

2007

In this chapter the study of a coastal aquifer located in South-Western Sicily (between the towns of Marsala and Mazara del Vallo) is presented, carried out using geochemical, hydro-geological and geophysical techniques. The aquifer has been over-exploited to the point of being subject to intense and worrisome salt-water intrusion. A preliminary chemical and physical characterization of the waters was carried out; this included measuring their conductivity and their chloride content. This allowed to detect the marine intrusion wedge in the coastal aquifer. A series of electromagnetic soundings, suitably calibrated by well logs, were effected in the whole area and allowed to create a 3D inte…
