Two tiered privacy enhanced intrusion detection system architecture

The paper describes an architecture for privacy-enhanced intrusion detection systems, that separates privacy-invasive and privacy-preserving operations. This can be useful in cases where less sensitive network monitoring is outsourced to a third party and more sensitive network monitoring operations and data forensics are performed in-house or by law enforcement agencies.

Fast expansion of inexpensive computers and computer networks has dramatically increased number of computer security incidents during last years. While quite many computer systems are still vulnerable to numerous attacks, intrusion detection has become vitally important as a response to constantly increasing number of threats. Objective Some cognitive models of obsessive‐compulsive disorder (OCD) posit that intrusions exist on a continuum with obsessions; others consider that they may be unrelated phenomena that differ in the context where they occur. We aimed to examine and compare, at two different moments, the context of the occurrence of intrusions and obsessions. The relationship between obsessions and the self: Feared and actual self-descriptions in a clinical obsessive-compulsive disorder sample.

Cognitive models of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) posit the relevance of the self in OCD, although the nature of this association is still unclear. We aimed to explore actual and feared selves and its association with obsessions and intrusions in a group of OCD patients. A group of 58 patients with OCD identified their most upsetting obsession and intrusion (non-clinical obsession) experienced in the past three months. The sedimentary record of the Etoliko Lagoon, Aetolia, Western Greece, offers an ideal opportunity to study human–environment interaction and to disentangle natural and anthropogenic imprints in the sedimentary record. Water intrusion-extrusion in hydrophobic microporous AFI, IFR, MTW and TON pure silica zeolites (zeosils) has been investigated through molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. It was found that intruded water volumes correlate with the free volume of the zeosil unit cells. Calculated adsorption isotherms allowed us to estimate the amounts of water intruded, and deviations from experiments (lower experimental with respect to calculated intrusion pressures) have been;explained in terms of connectivity defects in the synthesized materials. Apical intrusive growth of cambial fusiform initials along the tangential walls of adjacent fusiform initials: evidence for a new concept

A new study of cambium of Pinus sylvestris L., Tilia cordata Mill. and Wisteria floribunda (Willd.) DC provides fresh clues on the cambial dynamics, rejecting the hitherto held concept that intrusive growth of the fusiform initial occurs between the radial walls of adjacent initials. It demonstrates that intrusion of the elongating initial in fact takes place along tangential walls of adjacent fusiform initials and their immediate derivatives.
