Background Conducting clinical studies in small populations may be very challenging; therefore quality of clinical evidence may differ between rare and non-rare disease therapies. Objective This register-based study aims to evaluate the characteristics of clinical trials in rare diseases conducted in Latvia and compare them with clinical trials in more common conditions. How guilt or innocence is constructed in Finnish suspects written police records
 The present study focuses on written police records in Finland. The aim is to investigate how guilt or innocence is constructed in written police records. The research data contains 168 copy of suspects police records from Helsinki, Tampere and Turku police departments. Police records are being analyzed by using the discursive and linguistic approach. The results show that there are nine discursive categories in which guilt is constructed. We here report a case involving a 21-year-old female, found dead in a central square of a city in the south of Italy. Initial evidences and circumstances were suggestive of a death associated with a sexual assault. Two peripheral blood and two vitreous humor samples were collected for the purpose of gamma-hydroxybutyric acid (GHB) testing from the dead body at two different post-mortem intervals (PMIs): approximately 2 (t0) and 36 (t1) hours. The obtained results showed that, between t0 and t1, there was an increase of GHB concentrations in peripheral blood and vitreous humor of 66.3% and 8.1%, respectively.
