Rotifer vertical distribution in a strongly stratified lake: a multivariate analysis

The main source of variation of rotifer species distributions in lake Arcas-2, a small karstic lake near Cuenca (Spain), was explored by means of principal components factor (PCA) and canonical correlation (CCA) analyses. PCA was performed using rotifer densities and CCA using rotifer densities plus physical and chemical parameters. Factor 1 of PCA separated summer species from winter-spring species and Factor 2 accounted for the variation in the vertical profile. This paper analyses the adjustment grade and speed of interest rates term structure in Spain to changes in official interest rateo For this purpose, we specify and estimate an error-correction model, which considers the anticipation of future policy monetary and this allows obtaining an efficient estimator ofthe long-run relation. Moreover, we consider the possibility of asymmetry in the adjustment process to the equilibrium. The results indicate that interest rates anticipate monetary policy actions. The early 1990s economic setback brought significant reforms favoring the outsourcing of care in Finnish municipalities. Here, outsourcing refers to the practice of municipalities employing private organizations through different means (e.g., open tendering) to deliver public care services. In this context, this study examines the growth in the outsourcing of service housing and home-help services in 311 municipalities from 2001 to 2015 and investigates the municipal factors associated with outsourcing using four dimensions: care needs, population size, economic situation, and political ideology of the municipality. Abstract This article aims to investigate the role, limits and opportunities of participation programmes in a local political context where consensus-building and inclusionary practices are not high priorities. A public housing neighbourhood in Palermo is used as a case study in order to critically highlight the ambiguous role that participative practices tend to play in fragile contexts.
