Smear layer removal in canals shaped with reciprocating rotary systems

The aim was to assess the presence of smear layer after canal instrumentation with two reciprocating rotary systems and a continuous motion one. Thirty canals were shaped with Reciproc, WaveOne or Mtwo systems. Smear layer was assessed following a three value scale at coronal, middle and apical levels with a scanning electron microscopy. Reciproc scores: coronal third, 20% of the cases: 0, 60%: 1, 20%: 2; middle third, 10%: 0, 20%: 1, 70%:2; apical third: 2 in all cases. Pētījumā tika izveidoti sējas kaņepju spaļu, āra bērza ēveļskaidu un zāģskaidu un Trametes versicolor micēlija mikokompozīti ar pievienotām kviešu klijām un bērza mizu. Tika izvērtēta substrāta granulometrijas un sastāva ietekme uz mikokompozīta spiedes stiprību, ūdens uzsūcamību un noturību pret pelējumu. The aim of this trial was to compare the efficacy and safety of extended-release ciprofloxacin (CIPRO XR) versus the immediate-release formulation (CIPRO IR) in the treatment of complicated urinary tract infections (UTIs). 212 patients were randomized to CIPRO XR 1,000 mg tablet once daily or CIPROXIN IR 500 mg tablet twice daily. Treatment efficacy was evaluated by bacteriological outcome. Safety was measured by recording adverse events. The rate of bacteriological eradication was 83% in the CIPRO XR group and 75% in the CIPRO IR. the overall incidence of adverse events reported was higher in the CIPRO IR group. At the Large Hadron Collider at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland, atomic nuclei are collided at ultra-relativistic energies. Many final-state particles are produced in each collision and their properties are measured by the ALICE detector. The detector signals induced by the produced particles are digitized leading to data rates that are in excess of 48 GB/$s$. The chromatographic behavior of seven tricyclic antidepressants (amitryptiline, clomipramine, doxepin, imipramine, maprotiline, nortryptiline, and trimipramine) was examined with micellar mobile phases containing the nonionic surfactant Brij-35. Acetonitrile-water mixtures were also used for comparison purposes. Tricyclic antidepressants are moderately polar basic drugs, which are positively charged in the usual working pH. This gives rise to a strong association with the alkyl chains and residual ionized silanols in silica-based stationary phases, which is translated in a high consumption of organic solvent to get appropriate retention times. Objectives For practical reasons, patients with cystic fibrosis (CF) tend to mix different inhalation solutions for concomitant inhalation instead of inhaling the different medications consecutively. A study was undertaken to examine the compatibility of colistimethate dissolved in 5.85% hypertonic sodium chloride (NaCl) solution and the quadripartite mixtures of colistimethate, fluticasone-17-propionate, ipratropium bromide and salbutamol sulfate.
