Tutkimuksessani tein analyysin naispuolisten henkilöhahmojen fyysisestä kuvailusta Coletten teoksessa le Blé en herbe. Tavoitteena oli vertailla hahmojen kuvailua ja tutkia, kuinka fyysinen kuvailu heijastaa ja rakentaa hahmon persoonaa. Analyysissä hyödynnetään Yannick Reschin tekemää tutkimusta viiden Coletten romaanin naishenkilöiden kuvailusta. Teoriassa käsitellään henkilöhahmoa kirjallisuudentutkimuksen kannalta, sekä naishahmojen tärkeää roolia Coletten teoksissa. Lisäksi teoria sisältää tarkemman kuvauksen analyysiosion perustana olevasta teoksesta. Abstract OBJECTIVE: First, to assess the appropriateness of requests for albumin using current guidelines; second, to evaluate physicians' compliance with this protocol. DESIGN: Descriptive, prospective study. SETTING: 'Paolo Giaccone' University Hospital in Palermo (Italy). PARTICIPANTS: The six departments with the highest orders for albumin. In seed plants, the colocalization of the 5S loci within the intergenic spacer (IGS) of the nuclear 45S tandem units is restricted to the phylogenetically derived Asteraceae family. However, fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) colocalization of both multigene families has also been observed in other unrelated seed plant lineages. Previous work has identified colocalization of 45S and 5S loci in Ginkgo biloba using FISH, but these observations have not been confirmed recently by sequencing a 1.8 kb IGS. Liikunnanopettajaksi vuosina 1984 - 2004 valmistuneiden työtyytyväisyys

Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää liikunnanopettajiksi vuosina 1984–2004 valmistuneiden työtyytyväisyyttä ja siihen vaikuttavia tekijöitä. Tutkimukseen osallistui yhteensä 621 liikunnanopettajan ammatissa toimivaa henkilöä (naisia 326, miehiä 295). Tutkimus suoritettiin strukturoiduilla kyselylomakkeilla vastavalmistuneille liikunnanopettajille vuonna 2008 sekä kokeneemmille liikunnanopettajille vuonna 2009. Tutkimusaineiston analysointiin käytettiin t-testiä sekä yksi- ja kaksisuuntaista varianssianalyysia. The major thiol-containing molecules involved in controlling the level of intracellular ROS in eukaryotes, acting as a nonenzymatic detoxification system, are metallothioneins (MTs), glutathione (GSH) and phytochelatins (PCs). Both MTs and GSH are well-known in the animal kingdom. Tā visu laiku mainās un attīstās, jo veidi, kādos noziedznieki legalizē noziedzīgi iegūtus līdzekļus, arī konstanti attīstās, tiem paliekot arvien radošākiem un sarežģītākiem. Pēdējos gados veiktie normatīvo aktu grozījumi attiecībā uz noziedzīgi iegūtu līdzekļu legalizācijas pierādīšanu situāciju nepadara vienkāršāku, bet “atver durvis” jaunām problēmām, piemēram, iespējamiem nevainīguma prezumpcijas pārkāpumiem. Cold Exposure Affects Lipid Metabolism, Fatty Acids Composition and Transcription in Pig Skeletal Muscle

Cold exposure promotes glucose oxidation and modulates the lipid metabolism in adipose tissue, but it is still not fully clear whether cold exposure could affect meat quality and fatty acid metabolism in skeletal muscle of pig in vivo. Here, we kept finishing pigs under cold or room temperature overnight and determined the effects of cold exposure on meat quality, fatty acids composition and transcriptional changes in skeletal muscle of pigs. We found that cold exposure significantly reduced the meat colour24 h and pH24 h, without affecting carcass characteristics and other meat quality traits.
