Self-employment duration in urban and rural locations

Previous research has shown that local environment is important for self-employment. Self-employment dynamics varies between areas characterized by different labour market conditions, entrepreneurial tradition and other structural factors. Alternation between different labour market states (self-employment, paid-employment, non-employment) is also likely to increase if employment opportunities remain low in local labour market markets. This paper analyses the factors influencing the duration of self-employment spells in Finland with a large registered-based data set from the period of 1987-2002. Tutkielmassa perehdytään verkkopelien toteutustekniikoihin ja usealla kielellä toteutettuihin ohjelmistoihin. Konstruktiivisessa osassa näiden avulla rakennetaan yksinkertainen ohjelmistokehys nopeaan verkkopelikehitykseen. Kehyksen toimivuutta arvioidaan eri menetelmillä. This thesis studies the implementation of online games and multi-language software development. A simple rapid application development framework for online games is developed based on these studies. The framework's performance is analyzed using various methods.

Tämä tutkimus esittää yksinkertaisen skriptikielen SimpScript. Kielen tarkoituksena on toimia pelien skriptikielenä. Jotta SimpScriptin voitiin todeta soveltuvaksi pelinkehitykseen, suoritettiin sen ja muutaman yleisesti peleissä käytetyn skriptikielen ominaisuuksien vertailu. Lopputuloksena huomattiin, että SimpScriptistä puuttuu monia ominaisuuksia, joita muut ratkaisut sisältävät. The state of preservation of the bug Sehirus carpathiensis J.A. Lis, Vršanský & Schlögl, sp. n. (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Cydnidae) from the Lakšárska Nová Ves Formation at Cerová (Slovakia) supports extremely rapid sinking and burial in upper bathyal Early Miocene sediments. The specimen originated from land at most a few kilometers away, but transport via a river can be excluded as the head and wings are still attached. Its most likely source based on fossil flora and the habitat of several living representatives of the genus is a riparian habitat in an adjacent area of land. Determinants of Prescription Opioid Use : Population‐Based Evidence from Finland

Background and aims Previous studies have shown that prescription opioid use is more common in the socioeconomically disadvantaged communities in the US. This study examined the area and individual‐level determinants of prescription opioid use in Finland during the period 1995‐2016. Design Logistic regression analysis using nationwide data on filled opioid‐related prescriptions dispensed at Finnish pharmacies and covered by the National Health Insurance.
