The identity of the tropical African

Abstract Polichne mukonja Griffini, 1908 from Cameroon was hitherto known only from the holotype preserved at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, Brussels. This was probably due to the fact that the genus Polichne Stål, 1874 distributed only in Australia and Papua New Guinea. In view of this distribution, the tropical African species was therefore overlooked in the African literature. The recent discovery of two specimens at the Naturhistorisches Museum, Vienna, now provides us with a better understanding of the identity of this taxon, which is related to the African genus Catoptropteryx Karsch, 1890. Abstract This chapter aims at briefly reviewing applications of sensory descriptive testing methods with children, as well as their limits in relation to the cognitive development of children. Children’s sensory perceptions and preferences may differ from those of adults, which may make working directly with children a must for successful product development, at least at some stages of product development. However, most reported studies with children have characterized their preferences. Thermo-Mechanical Behaviour of Flax-Fibre Reinforced Epoxy Laminates for Industrial Applications

The present work describes the experimental mechanical characterisation of a natural flax fibre reinforced epoxy polymer composite. A commercial plain woven quasi-unidirectional flax fabric with spun-twisted yarns is employed in particular, as well as unidirectional composite panels manufactured with three techniques: hand-lay-up, vacuum bagging and resin infusion. The stiffness and strength behaviours are investigated under both monotonic and low-cycle fatigue loadings. Radio studijas vadības sistēmas konfigurācijas saskarņu testu automatizācija

Darba gaitā tika izstrādāta programmatūra radio studijas vadības sistēmas konfigurācijas lietotāja saskarņu testēšanai. Darba mērķis ir ievērojami atvieglot testētāju ikdienu, automatizējot viņu darbu un tādējādi ļaujot ietaupīt laiku, kas nepieciešams, lai notestētu, vai programmatūra darbojas tā, kā tai ir paredzēts. Pašreiz testēšana pārsvarā notiek tikai manuāli, kas ir ļoti apgrūtinoši un laikietilpīgi. Testu automatizācija ļauj to pašu darbu paveikt ievērojami ātrāk un ir krietni mazāk pakļauta kļūdām, kuras neizbēgami rodas cilvēciskā faktora rezultātā. Darba izstrādē tika izmantota speciāli šīs programmatūras testēšanai izstrādāta skriptu programmēšanas valoda.

The Book of Wisdom is one of those late biblical Judaism texts that were created in the context of the creative confrontation with the Hellenic culture prevailing at that time. This confrontation concerned, among others, the basic question of faith of the chosen people, namely, the profession of the one only God who manifests his justice in the events of national and universal history. The basic event for the author of the Book of Wisdom is the exodus of Israel from Egypt, the aim of which was the entry of the chosen people into the Promised Land. On this way the nation experienced Godʼs Justice that proved to be his Grace and Mercy.

1. Breve descrizione dell’oggetto di studio Il concorso del Palazzo di Giustizia di Roma si svolge in quattro fasi svolte tra il 1884 e il 1887. Il progetto per il primo concorso, del 1884, redatto dall’allora giovanissimo Ernesto Basile (Palermo 1857-1932), rivela una grande perizia progettuale che trasforma il complesso programma funzionale in un austero edificio in stile neofiorentino. I disegni originari dell’opera, non realizzata, conservati presso la Dotazione Basile del Dipartimento di Architettura dell’Università di Palermo, sono stati oggetto di studio propedeutico alle fasi di analisi, interpretazione e ricostruzione congetturale del modello digitale. 2.
