Pulse EPR spectroscopy is sued to investigate possible structural features of the copper(II) ion coordinated to poly(dG-dC) poly(dG-dC) in a frozen aqueous solution, and the structural change of the polynucleotide induced by the presence of the metal ion. Two different copper species were identified and their geometry explained by a molecular model. According to this model, one species is exclusively coordinated to a single guanine with the N7 nitrogen atom forming a coordinative bond with the copper. Gammaherpesviruses are important pathogens whose lifelong survival in the host depends critically on their capacity to establish and reactivate from latency, processes regulated by both viral genes and the host immune response. Previous work has demonstrated that gamma interferon (IFN-gamma) is a key regulator of chronic infection with murine gammaherpesvirus 68 (gammaHV68), a virus that establishes latent infection in B lymphocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. La sentenza della Suprema Corte 28 febbraio 2014, n. 4854, che si colloca nel solco di un diffuso orientamento giurisprudenziale in materia di c.d. rito del lavoro, offre lo spunto per una riflessione di ordine generale sui limiti della specifica contestazione e delle conseguenze della sua omissione, nel generale sistema di preclusioni del processo civile. Essa offre, inoltre, l’occasione per una ricollocazione in chiave sistematica della non contestazione nell’ambito delle c.d. eccezioni, e nella sistematica del diritto processuale.

Autonomous parvoviruses encode at least two nonstructural proteins, NS1 and NS2. While NS1 is linked to important nuclear processes required for viral replication, much less is known about the role of NS2. Specifically, the function of canine parvovirus (CPV) NS2 has remained undefined. Here we have used proximity-dependent biotin identification (BioID) to screen for nuclear proteins that associate with CPV NS2. Pro gradu-tutkielmassa kartoitetaan, millaisia alkoholirikoksia Mikkelin seudulla tehtiin ja miksi, kuten myös miten näitä rikoksia kontrolloitiin ja valvottiin vuosina 1895–1905. Tarkemmiksi tutkimuskohteiksi on rajattu kolme eniten oikeuksissa näkynyttä rikosta: viinan salapolttaminen, laiton myyminen sekä juopuminen julkisella alueella. Pääasiallisina lähteinä tutkimuksessa on käytetty rikoshistoriassa keskeisiä oikeusistuinten pöytäkirjoja sekä näiden tukena aikalaissanomalehtiä. Edellä mainituista kolmesta rikoksesta oli tutkimusajanjakson aikana syytettynä yhteensä 338 henkilöä. Suurin osa syytetyistä oli miehiä. In contrast, few papers have addressed the effective model inversion of high resolution satellite images for a complete series of data for the various crop species in a given region.
