This article gathers some reflections and suggestions that have been carried out throughout the workshop “Arquitectura construida y espacio habitado en los poblados de colonizatión de Italia y España” held in Palermo between the 21st and 22nd January 2020. The case studies that are here analysed and compared are Latina (ancient Littoria), in the Lazio region, Italy, and Valdelacalzada, in the Extremadura region, Spain. The two cities have in common the fundamental cross-shape relationship that characterises their primary urban foundation. With reference to the functions attributed to municipalities and provinces, the Tuscany Region has maintained a central role of planning and coordination of activities in the tourism sector. Local authorities and the various territorial levels of the trade associations of undertakings and workers are also formally involved in the preparation of regional planning. For this purpose, some regions have set up consultation tables to involve all public and private stakeholders in the sector. The article delves into the modalities of tourism planning, highlighting the training process and the laws of reference.

Double copies of blaKPC-3::Tn4401a on an IncX3 plasmid in Klebsiella pneumoniae successful clone ST512 from Italy

ABSTRACT A carbapenem-resistant sequence type 512 (ST512) Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase 3 (KPC-3)-producing K. pneumoniae strain showing a novel variant plasmid content was isolated in Palermo, Italy, in 2014. ST512 is a worldwide successful clone associated with the spread of bla KPC genes located on the IncFIIk pKpQIL plasmid. In our ST512 strain, the bla KPC-3 gene was unusually located on an IncX3 plasmid, whose complete sequence was determined. Two copies of bla KPC-3 ::Tn 4401a caused by intramolecular transposition events were detected in the plasmid.
Studies on Italian reservoirs

The main morphometric and water quality characteristics of the 221 Italian reservoirs covering an area of at least 0.2 km2 is given. Most of the reservoirs are used for drinking water purposes, especially on the islands of Sicily and Sardinia, where the more important cases of eutrophication have been found. These situations are examined in greater detail, with regard to algal population dynamics, the phosphorus budget and the comparison between theoretical and experimental nutrients loads. -from Authors

The poster intends to describe the main contents of the National Emergency Plan for volcanic events of national importance on the island of Stromboli (ME) prepared in 2015 by the Department for the Civil Protection (DPC). The volcanic island of Stromboli is in fact largely exposed to the risk associated with the activities of the volcano of the same name, especially that of the tsunami. The effusive activity of the Stromboli in fact causes a marked instability of the slope known as Sciara del Fuoco which can induce, as happened at the end of 2002, a tsunami. Refereed/Peer-reviewed The present study provides evidence for a valid and reliable tool, the Academic Quality at Work Tool (AQ@workT), to investigate the quality of life at work in academics within the Italian university sector. The AQ@workT was developed by the QoL@Work research team, namely a group of expert academics in the field of work and organizational psychology affiliated with the Italian Association of Psychologists.
