Pragmalingvistiikka käsittelee kielen ja sen käytön vuorovaikutussuhdetta. Tämän tutkielman tarkoituksena on tutkia lukiolaisten pragmalingvistisiä taitoja tarkastelemalla pyyntöjen muodostamista ruotsin ja englannin kielellä. Tutkimusaineisto on osa Jyväskylän yliopiston Topling-projektia ja koostuu teksteistä, joiden tehtävänantona on kirjoittaa viesti verkkokauppaan. Aineiston tekstit on jaoteltu EVK-taitotasojen mukaan ja tasot A1-B1 ovat mukana tutkimuksessa. Fiscal consolidation and financial reforms

We use data for a panel of 17 countries over the period 1980-2005 to investigate the impact of fiscal consolidation on the likelihood of financial reforms. We show that fiscal adjustments do not boost the implementation of financial reforms. However, tax-driven fiscal consolidation programs raise the likelihood of banking sector reforms. Moreover, we find that: (i) an increase in the degree of trade openness makes countries less likely to implement financial reforms; (ii) an increase in the interest rate spreads accelerates the path of financial reforms, especially, external capital account reforms; and (iii) an improvement in the quality of political institutions strongly enhances the prob…

This investigation includes a differential study (Study 1) and a quasi-experimental research (Study 2). In Study 1, the objective was to establish to what extent students’ rights existed and analyse the differentiation between students’ rights with Portuguese and immigrant mothers, throughout school years. The sample consisted of 537 students with Portuguese and immigrant mothers, distributed by different school years (7th, 9th and 11th grades). Curiosity and exploration: A conceptual overview and structural modeling

Many attempts have been made to measure curiosity or intrinsic motivation. However, there is no consensus on what curiosity is. In the present study, five previously constructed curiosity inventories were translated to Finnish and modified to be convenient for fifth-graders. The main purpose of the study was to clarify the concept of curiosity. In this study, we investigate Deep Talk, which is a method used in the context of early years education in Finland. The method is based on multisensory storytelling and clear phases. The method has received positive feedback from educators and children, but no prior research has been conducted on it. This data aims to determine the significant elements of the method for the individual child and the children in a group.
