1968 And Rural Japan as A Site of Struggle. Approaches to rural landscapes in the history of Japanese documentary film

In the twentieth century, Japan produced an extraordinary documentary film heritage around the rural world which has not received sufficient attention. This article identifies three different approaches to the rural in Japanese film history: first, the wartime interest in place as providing an 'authentic essence' of a national identity. Second, the post-war representation of the rural in public relations films (PR eiga), mainly interested in geography. And third, the release of Ogawa's Summer in Sanrizuka in 1968 which brought a new dimension to a countryside transformed into both a battlefield and an icon of the political protest of the era.

After the fall of Constantinople (1453), Pero Tafur and Bertrandon de La Broquière make known their works, which are two of the most important travel books written in Europe during the fifteenth century. Both travellers had known, between fifteen and twenty years before, the emperor of Greece, John VIII Palaiologos, Pope Eugene IV and other protagonists of the councils of Basel (1431-1434) and Ferrara-Florence (1438-1439), which decreed the union between the Roman and Greek churches. Esta investigación presenta la aportación que la disponibilidad léxica tiene en el marco de la enseñanza de Español como Lengua Extranjera y el ámbito infantil. Para poder desarrollar esta tarea se ha realizado una revisión bibliográfica sistemática que presenta a aquellos trabajos publicados sobre léxico disponible. A partir de los resultados obtenidos se ha observado una baja incidencia de investigaciones sobre ELE con población escolar (hasta 12 años), en comparación con corpus adultos. Identification and characterization of amphiphysin II as a novel cellular interaction partner of the hepatitis C virus NS5A protein.

The hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS5A protein is highly phosphorylated by cellular protein kinases. To study how NS5A might be integrated in cellular kinase signalling, we isolated phosphoproteins from HuH-7 hepatoma cells that specifically interacted with recombinant NS5A protein. Subsequent mass spectrometry identified the adaptor protein amphiphysin II as a novel interaction partner of NS5A. Mutational analysis revealed that complex formation is primarily mediated by a proline-rich region in the C-terminal part of NS5A, which interacts with the amphiphysin II Src homology 3 domain. Selective targeting of avidin/mannose 6-phosphate receptor chimeras to early or late endosomes

Summary In this study we have used the Semliki forest virus expression system to transiently express chimeric proteins that contain transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains of the cation-independent mannose 6-phosphate receptor (CI-MPR) fused to chicken avidin. Immunofluorescence and electron microscopy studies showed that the chimeric protein with the entire cytoplasmic domain of CI-MPR was transported to late endosomes, where it accumulated. We made use of the biotin-binding capacity of lumenal avidin, and found that, in agreement with this distribution, the chimeric protein could be labelled with biotinylated HRP endocytosed for a long, but not a brief, period of time. En el segundo centenario de su nacimiento, este artículo expone la enorme influencia que el escritor norteamericano Edgar A. Poe (1809-1849) ha ejercido sobre el arte contemporáneo. Tomando como ejemplo su famoso poema El cuervo, el presente texto comenta algunas de sus adaptaciones a otras disciplinas artísticas demostrando así que, en el caso de Poe, el artista se convierte en musa.
