O analogiji i teoriji etimona u hebrejskome biblijskom leksiku
2012
The Brand-Land Identity of Etna Volcano Valley Wines: A Policy Delphi Study
2022
This is the first study on the brand–land link for quality wines with a strong identity produced in extreme territories using the Policy Delphi methodology. The objective of this study is to assess the existence of a relationship between the wine brand and the territory of origin for wines produced in the Etna valley in Sicily (southern Italy). Awareness among producers and stakeholders of the recognizability of local wines by the market was investigated. Moreover, the forecasts/reliability, issues/importance, options/feasibility, and goals/desirability of development factors for wines with a brand–land link in the Etna valley were analyzed. The results were used to design a mod…
Guessing Meaning From Word Sounds of Unfamiliar Languages: A Cross-Cultural Sound Symbolism Study
2019
Sound symbolism refers to a non-arbitrary relationship between the sound of a word and its meaning. With the aim to better investigate this relationship by using natural languages, in the present cross-linguistic study 215 Italian and Polish participants were asked to listen to words pronounced in 4 unknown non-indo-European languages (Finnish, Japanese, Swahili, Tamil) and to try to guess the correct meaning of each word, by choosing among 3 alternatives visualized on a computer screen. The alternatives were presented in the mother tongue of participants. Three different word categories were presented: nouns, verbs and adjectives. A first overall analysis confirmed a semantic role of sound…
I segni parlano.
SPACE AND MATTER. A SOLID VOID FOR A WEAK MONUMENTALITY
2020
Following this essay one can say that the immaterial icon of the building perpetuated over the last three decades, characterized by a shiny and evanescent materiality, seems to reflect a deep tiredness today, featuring an increasingly rapid obsolescence of its image. As a result, there is a need for a major review of the interpretation process of the requests coming from the market and geared toward a new exegesis of the tectonic detail for a formal and material interpretation of the soundness of a financial system looking for vali-dation. This condition, while proposing a healthy come-back toward a conscious control of the tectonic dimension of the building, re-interprets, in its typologic…
La voce allo specchio
2012
