Recycling of heterogeneous plastics wastes. II—The role of modifier agents

Abstract Recycling of mixed plastics waste, mainly composed of PEs, PET and PVC has been carried out by blending with recycled polyethylene. Although the extrusion of these blends has been carried out at high temperatures, the degradation of the PVC was modest due to the short residence times. The mechanical properties of these secondary materials, up to about 30% of mixed plastics waste, are very similar to those of the recycled polyethylene, except for the elongation to break. By adding some modifier agents, the elongation at break and especially the impact strength can be further improved.

Abstract In order to assess the environmental feasibility of anaerobic membrane bioreactor (AnMBR) technology for urban wastewater (UWW) treatment at ambient temperature, a demonstration plant was operated within the LIFE MEMORY project ( http://www.life-memory.eu/en/ ). This plant incorporates full-scale hollow-fiber membrane modules and was fed with the effluent from the pre-treatment of the “Alcazar de San Juan” WWTP (Alcazar de San Juan, Ciudad Real, Spain). Because of the dimensions of this plant, the system can be regarded as a previous step to the scale-up of AnMBR technology for full-scale UWW treatment. espanolEl objetivo del presente estudio es describir las alteraciones conductuales y emocionales en el sindrome de X fragil (SXF) y analizar las reperecusiones de tener un miembro con SXF en diferentes aspectos del funcionamiento familiar. Participaron 79 padres con un miembro con SXF y 80 padres con un miembro con desarrollo tipico. Los resultados mostraron que entre el 17% y el 66% de los ninos y adolescentes con SXF mostraron trastornos conductuales y emocionales significativos y menos comportamientos prosociales. The frequently discussed gap between conservation science and practice is manifest in the gap between spatial conservation prioritization plans and their implementation. We analyzed the research-implementation gap of one zoning case by comparing results of a spatial prioritization analysis aimed at avoiding ecological impact of peat mining in a regional zoning process with the final zoning plan.
