-Pablo.Miravet@uv.es El artículo expone el desarrollo de las etapas iniciales de un proyecto de investigación centrado en la eficacia de las normas penales españolas que protegen frente a la discriminación racial, étnica y por razón de nacionalidad. El texto contiene también algunos apuntes sobre el problema de la eficacia del derecho. In this article I report the initial stages of a research focused on the efectiveness of those spanish criminal norms that protect against ethnic and racial discrimination. The text also contains some notes on the problem of the efectiveness of the law.

Contributions to Spanish historical morphology are used to dealing with many descriptive issues, but they generally lack methodological considerations. This was not the case with other components of historical grammar such as the phonological and the lexical ones. However morphology, perhaps because of its semiproductive character and the irregularity of its paradigms, has been conceived of as a sample of unrelated data. This paper aims to consider the paradigmatic proposals that have been recently made by Joel Rini putting them in the methodological context of current research on grammaticalization in general linguistics.

[EN] Self-assembly of octahedral FeII ions, trans-1,2-bis(4-pyridyl) ethane (bpe) bridging ligands and [Hg(XCN)(4)](2-) (X = S (1), Se (2)) tetrahedral building blocks has afforded a new type of hetero-bimetallic Hg-II-Fe-II spin-crossover (SCO) 3D 6,4-connected coordination polymer (CP) formulated {Fe(bpe)[Hg(XCN)(4)]}(n). For X = S (1), the ligand field is close to the crossing point but 1 remains paramagnetic over all temperatures. In contrast, for X = Se (2) the complex undergoes complete thermal induced SCO behaviour centred at T-1/2 = 107.8 K and complete photoconversion of the low spin state into a metastable high-spin state (LIESST effect) with T-LIESST = 66.7 K. To function properly, organisms must adjust their physiology, behavior and metabolism in response to a suite of varying environmental conditions. One of the central regulators of these changes is organisms' internal circadian clock, and recent evidence has suggested that the clock genes are also important in the regulation of seasonal adjustments. Vascular labeling of the head and neck vessels : technique, advantages and limitations

Background Vascular staining techniques have been used to describe the vascular structures of several anatomic areas. However, few reports have described this procedure in the head and neck region. This paper describes a head and neck vascular labeling procedure, and describes some of the technical complications that may occur. Material and methods Fifteen specimen cadaver heads were prepared. After drying the vascular system, the internal carotid arteries were ligated and a solution with latex and a gelling agent was injected into the internal carotid arteries and external jugular veins. Digital Storytelling and Multimodal Literacy in Education

This article argues in favour of using digital storytelling to encourage a critical socio-educational focus in education and include multimodal explicit teaching in the curriculum. The analysis of fifty digital stories indicates that the students developed a certain awareness of the issue chosen for their story (e.g. violence, racism, war) since the final product transmits a critical perspective on the topic itself. Further work, however, needs to be invested in the development of the digital story content itself and on the issue of multimodal learning, with especial emphasis on the interface between multimodal elements and more traditional modes of transmitting ideas.
