Mais faciliter la participation à ces formations semble complexe. L'intérêt de cette étude est de mieux comprendre les stratégies d'investissement en formation continue, tout en prenant en compte le contexte de l'entreprise. Il semble exister une légère différence de participation à une formation non imposée d'une entreprise à l'autre mais l'essentiel de la variabilité se situe entre les salariés. Après avoir proposé des estimations des rendements de l’investissement éducatif aux différents niveaux et conclu à l’insuffisance de la théorie du capital humain sous sa forme initiale pour rendre compte des faits, une tentative est menée pour interpréter les décisions éducatives en essayant de séparer les effets cognitifs des effets sociaux. Regional heterogeneity in the business environment: the case of Italy

How do we evaluate the business environment of regional economies? This paper makes use of primary data from the World Bank’s Subnational Doing Business studies to analyze the capacity of Italian regions to facilitate entrepre- neurs in setting up and operating new businesses. By comparing data across locations and over time, we are able to identify best practices that may help policy makers in the implementation of reforms aiming at improving the business environ- ment of Italian regions and, as a result, of the country.
Profiling deaf and hard-of-hearing users of subtitles for the deaf and hard-of-hearing in Italy: a questionnaire-based study

The aim of this article is to present the results of a questionnaire-based study carried out as part of the author’s Master’s Degree dissertation about Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard-of-hearing (SDH). In particular, the need to gather specific information regarding audience design will be highlighted in the paper, since this research field has long been neglected in Italy. The questions were aimed at shedding light on the needs, cultural environment and world-view of Italian SDH users, by eliciting personal data as well as subtitlerelated information. Application of Thermographic Techniques for the Detection of Failures on Photovoltaic Modules

The paper focuses on thermography as a useful investigation tool for diagnosis, detection and prevention of failures of photovoltaic modules. The paper describes the faults detectable by thermographic investigations and how to conduct these investigantions. Then the results of some analyses conducted on a photovoltaic field are presented. The investigations made possible to identify faulty modules with hot spots by measuring localized superheat due to the presence of concentrated deposits on the exposed surface of the module and the superheating due to the presence of sand/dust deposits distributed on a significant portion of the module surface.
