La contribución de la ciencia a la cultura ciudadana

El propósito de este trabajo es analizar las contribuciones de la ciencia a la cultura ciudadana, con objeto de fundamentar las propuestas de alfabetización científica como una componente esencial de la educación, susceptible de favorecer la participación ciudadana en la toma de decisiones acerca de los problemas relacionados con el desarrollo tecnocientífico, contribuir a la formación de un espíritu crítico y transmitir la emoción de los apasionantes desafíos a los que se ha enfrentado la comunidad científica. Se pretende responder así a las críticas de algunos autores, que se han referido a la alfabetización científica del conjunto de ciudadanos y ciudadanas como un mito irrealizable.

The main aim of this article is to discuss the results achieved after investigating the presence of violence in the Grimm brothers’ <em>Cinderella</em> with the intention of finding out what kind of processes predominate in this tale and whether they can be related to violent actions. Spanish Scientific Research about Popular Science is analyzed to identify the main scientific agents, dissemination means and subjects in this field. It is an heterogeneous area related to several scientific disciplines and purposes, stand out above them Information and Education. 286 journal articles and 50 PhD Thesis have been analyzed, observing a high increase of publications in 90s remaining until now. The five most important research cores identified are the followings: Science Journalism, Science Literacy, Linguistics and the researches related to Museums and Scientific Disciplines such as Medicine, Environment or Archaeology.

Gold(I)-Catalyzed Intermolecular Cycloaddition of Allenamides with α,β-Unsaturated Hydrazones: Efficient Access to Highly Substituted Cyclobutanes

α,β-Unsaturated N,N-dialkyl hydrazones undergo a mild [2 + 2] cycloaddition to allenamides when treated with a suitable gold catalyst. The method, which represents the first application of N,N-dialkyl hydrazones in gold catalysis, is compatible with a wide variety of substituents at the alkenyl moiety of the hydrazone component, proceeds with excellent levels of regio- and diastereoselectivity, and provides densely substituted cyclobutanes with good to excellent yields.

Celem artykułu jest szkicowe przedstawienie, na podstawie analiz i materiałów prasowych, wielosektorowej obecności Chin na Bałkanach i jej wpływu na sytuację ekonomiczną regionu. Bałkany są ważne dla mocarstw ze względu na położenie geopolityczne i geostrategiczne na skrzyżowaniu szlaków międzykontynentalnych. Chiny znacząco wpływają na ekonomikę poszczególnych państw region, wykorzystując dyplomację publiczną celem ograniczenia wpływów ze strony innych ważnych graczy: Unii Europejskiej, Rosji i USA.
