Makrofītu temporālās mainības ietekme upju ekoloģiskā stāvokļa noteikšanā: Bērzes upes piemērs

Zarečanska I. 2021. Makrofītu temporālās mainības ietekme upju ekoloģiskā stāvokļa noteikšanā: Bērzes upes piemērs. Bakalaura darbs. Rīga, Latvijas Universitāte, 41 lpp. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noteikt makrofītu temporālās mainības ietekmi uz Bērzes upes ekoloģisko kvalitāti. Bērzes upes apsekošana tika veikta 2020. gada vasarā, laika posmā no 17. jūnija līdz 16. augustam. Lai noteiktu upes ekoloģisko stāvokli un makrofītu sugu daudzveidību, tika aprēķināts Latvijas upju makrofītu indekss, Šenona indekss un Simpsona indekss. Pētījuma rezultāti apstiprina, ka makrofītu temporālā mainība sezonas laikā ietekmē Bērzes upes ekoloģisko stāvokli.
Aģes upes lejteces ekoloģiskā kvalitāte

Maģistra darba mērķis ir noskaidrot Aģes upes lejteces ekoloģisko kvalitāti. Darba ietvaros veikti upes veģetācijas un ķīmiskā sastāva pētījumi 6 Aģes upes posmos, kuri ietilpst riska ūdensobjektā G261SP „Mazupīte – grīva”; novērtēta posmu ekoloģiskā kvalitāte, izmantojot trofijas indeksus un ūdens ķīmisko analīžu rādītājus. Noteikti arī makrofītu augšanu ietekmējošie vides faktori. Iegūtie rezultāti parāda, ka pēc makrofītu trofijas indeksiem Aģes upes lejteces ekoloģiskā kvalitāte ir labāka nekā pēc ķīmiskā stāvokļa. Kopumā lejteces ekoloģiskā kvalitāte ir slikta.

Alternative measures of body composition and wage premium: New evidence from Indonesia

This paper examines the relationship between body composition and earnings in a developing country setting. We use body mass index, waist circumference and hip circumference. Exploiting the panel structure of our longitudinal survey, we find that along with BMI, waist circumference is related to higher earnings in Indonesia. peerReviewed
Body weight and premature retirement : population-based evidence from Finland

Background Health status is a principal determinant of labour market participation. In this study, we examined whether excess weight is associated with withdrawal from the labour market owing to premature retirement. Methods The analyses were based on nationally representative data from Finland over the period 2001–15 (N ∼ 2500). The longitudinal data included objective measures of body weight (i.e. body mass index and waist circumference) linked to register-based information on actual retirement age. Experiences of left-behind family members of transnational migrant workers have been in the shadow of academic discourse on migration. To contribute to the slowly growing body of literature, this study explores the impact of male out-migration on left-behind wives. The study proposes and applies a novel framework to estimate Women Empowerment Index (WEI) for comparing the empowerment level across households with and without men in transnational labor. Karsējamā tabaka ir vēl jauns un ne līdz galam izpētīts smēķēšanas veids, tādēļ šī darba mērķis bija noskaidrot karsējamās tabakas ietekmi un sirds un asinsvadu sistēmas veselības marķieriem, tuvāk aplūkojot sistēmiskā asinsspiediena rādītājus, kā arī veicot kopējās miega artērijas morfoloģiskos un funkcionālos izmeklējumus. Pētījumā piedalījās 15 sievietes vecuma grupā no 19-25, no tām 8 dalībnieces bija karsējamās tabakas lietotājas ikdienā, bet 7 dalībnieces iepriekš nav lietojušas nikotīnu saturošus produktus. Unen laatu heikkenee vaihdevuosien aikana. Heikentynyt unen laatu on yhteydessä sokeri- ja rasva-aineenvaihdunnan häiriöihin. Tämän pro gradu-tutkielman tarkoituksena oli selvittää vaihdevuosi-ikäisten naisten unen laadun yhteyttä kardiometabolisiin riskitekijöihin. Tutkielma perustuu Estrogeeni, vaihdevuodet ja toimintakyky (ERMA) -tutkimuksen aineistoon. Osallistujat poimittiin satunnaisotannalla väestörekisteristä Jyväskylän ja sen lähikuntien 47–54 -vuotiaista naisista (n=6886).
